Second look at Mel Gibson’s sanity?
Forensic audio and video experts examined the recordings for HollywoodLife.com and believe someone tampered with them, editing the audio, removing parts of conversation and piecing together phrases to make the recordings sound real.
“One of the things that you have to know is that nobody at this point can authenticate it’s Mel’s voice — not 100 percent,” Bonnie Fuller, editor of HollywoodLife.com, said on “Good Morning America” today. “There are words that are edited out, there are spaces, there are gaps.”
“I believe these are professionally done. I think she had help,” said forensic audio expert Arlo West. “She clearly was speaking into what we call a large diaphragm microphone. Her voice is very well engineered. She sounds great.”
She really does. Here’s the latest tape from Radar; it occurred to me after listening to the first one a few days ago that her voice sounded unusually crisp, even with the mic being on her side of the phone, but maybe it’s a little too crisp. Two issues for the cops who are combing through the tapes in hopes of using them against him, then. First, if they’ve been edited, then they’re obviously not true and correct copies and can’t be admitted. Second and more problematically, California law requires both parties’ consent before a conversation can be recorded. Is Mad Max so mad that he actually agreed to let Grigorieva tape him?
If you missed it in Headlines, this Time mag piece on therapists’ reaction to audio of the calls is grimly fascinating. Most of them aren’t surprised, but one worries that this degree of rage is “dangerous” and “not typical” and another says, “I’ll bet every penny I’ve ever made that he was abusive in all his previous relationships.” For what it’s worth, according to Mel’s ex, she’d lose that bet. Exit question: Is this pushback about the tapes being doctored really just Mel’s way of planting a tiny enough seed of doubt in the public’s mind to save his career? E.g., “Honey, I don’t want to see the new Mel Gibson movie. Didn’t you hear those tapes?” “But baby — he says the tapes were doctored.”
Btw, she claims those pics were taken the next day.
IMHO, he shouldn’t have ever been taped in the first place without his knowledge. I think we can all agree we’ve said things we didn’t necessarily mean in anger.
She doesn’t look like someone in “urgent need of medical care” because she had a concussion and teeth knocked out. If she was hit that hard while she was holding the baby I would think she would have fallen.
I agree that her voice sounds unusually clear, and detached. I can understand Mel being extremely angry, though, not only at her, but mostly at himself for being so blindingly STOOPID for leaving his wife and family for her.
The way the teeth look, he damaged veneers or bonding.
Her lips, particularly the bottom one, is obviously swollen.
Do people really doubt he hit her in the face, he pretty much admits it in the tapes.
How do you people, I don’t know if you either a man or a woman, continue to defend a man who violently hits a woman.
That was the whole point, though, to get the public on HER side against him.
It's interesting that his former wife has testified that in their 28 year marriage, he was NEVER abusive to her, or the kids.
Yeah. It appears they’ve been “plumped”. I think Jolies are real. Someone else said that the tart looks like octomom.
Hmmm. Wonder if Mel's lawyer can compel testimony, or pictures from her Orthodontist, if he had applied veneers, to see what her teeth looked like, before the repairs.

But if those tapes end up having been doctored, how can you count on anything he supposedly said to be real? He doesn't have a history of abuse, according to his former wife.
Her mouth ALWAYS looks like that. Google pics of her. Let me tell you, if someone punches you in the mouth, the damage is obvious. It's called a fat lip. And it's bloody from hitting your teeth. And one would NOT be getting dental care the next day.

Oksana Demanded Millions for Tapes ... Allegedly

Sources connected with Mel Gibson tell TMZ they have “hard proof” Oksana Grigorieva tried to extort Gibson, demanding more than $10 million from the actor in return for keeping the secret tapes just that — secret.
Our sources claim Oksana demanded a specific amount of money. They would not reveal the exact sum but say it’s more than $10 million. And the sources say there are emails and other “physical evidence” to prove it. As one source said, “There’s a long trail of evidence”
TMZ broke the story .... Mel’s lawyers will be meeting with L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies, making a presentation of evidence which includes alleged evidence of extortion. We’re told the lawyers want the Sheriff’s Department to launch a criminal investigation after they present deputies with emails and other physical evidence.
He lost 2. One to death.

Mel lost the wife he was married to for 28 years by choice . . . divorcing her to take up with this much younger woman. Very bad and immoral choice unless his wife cheated on him.
Yeah Mel is crazy but he’s a freaking artistic genius. Same with Michael Jackson.
