My fellow Americans.
I come to you this Independence Day to tell you of a great crisis America faces. A crisis of conflicting beliefs, a crisis of what is right and wrong, a crisis which helps define who we are as a people. A crisis which will determine the future path of our Great Nation.
And in this crisis, the stakes are too high to allow prejudice, bigotry, or close-mindedness to determine our thinking.
I am referring, of course, to the situation on our Southern border.
As you know, the governors of several Southern states have attempted to take matters into their own hands, seeking to exclude -- on their own initiative -- all who only seek the sanctuary of our borders. To this end, they have apparently directed considerable time and manpower -- there has even been talk of erecting physical barriers to protect the "integrity" of these states.
The governors, the elected officials, of the states most affected, will try to tell you of the suffering of their citizens -- the unemployment, the displacement and hardship. But I think it is clear, to those who look, that these are merely excuses for old prejudice: a prejudice which is wholly without merit, a prejudice which deserves to be condemned to the ash heap of history.
Let me be clear. There is no longer any room in this country for such prejudice and hatred. Especially in the South -- which, despite its reputation for hospitality, has had such a long and bitter legacy of hostility and separation. Even more so when such terms as "greasy" and "unwashed" are bandied about by those who would exclude.
I am here to tell you, that as President, we are going to put this attitude to a stop. And we are going to follow up not just with words, but with actions. In this present economic situation, in this time when we seek energy independence, I say to you, that there is no room to reject anyone who seeks admittance to our great land, just because they have a darker color, just because they have not come through recognized bureaucratic channels. And on this point, I am directing the full weight of the Federal Government to ensure that this does not happen.
Our need as a country is too great; and we have accepted the overflow as a generous contribution, from the bounty of other lands: from the Democratic nations of Europe, such as Norway and Great Britain; from lands which have long been held our enemies, such as Russia; from newer friends such as Saudi Arabia; and from lands which are still themselves seeking to rise up from poverty, such as Nigeria and Venezuela.
Therefore, as President, I am issuing an executive order, to make sure that America's shores remain open to all: and especially for those who attempt the hazardous trip across open sea.
To paraphrase the words of Emma Lazarus on the Statue of Liberty:
Keep, ancient lands, your storied pumps!
Give me the seepage from the ocean floor,
Petroleum and gases yearning to be free
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!
Nevermore shall it be said that the United States is hostile to oil, just because it was not pumped through an officially recognized well or derrick.
Thank you, and Allahu Ack-- err, God Bless America!

Wow. If this is fake, to my ear, you have his cadence down perfectly. I can hear his voice as I read it.
Cheers!
Yah, it wasn’t that pleasant for me to realize the ba$+@rd had got in my head so much that I could hear his voice . . .
As Rush Limbaugh says, she lives rent-free inside his head.
Cheers!
ba$+@rd <-——————— Actually, quite possible this is true of Obama : )

But Obama and the dems who are solidly behind him feel that they have to have amnesty to try and get votes to offset the huge upswelling of Americans against them. If they try, they will have gone one bridge too far.
The American people are awake and will not tolerate such a blatant, illegal, and extra-constitutional attempt to subvert the process.
I believe many dems know this and will vote it down. If they don't, things will get very dicey IMHO.
Here's my July 4th Internet post that speaks to some of this:
"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other."- John Adams, Oct. 11, 1798 "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other."- John Adams, Oct. 11, 1798Now, after a 40-50 year coup in America...a slow coup where virtually every aspect of society has been slowly infiltrated by individuals diametrically opposed to what those original individual's set in motion, we have an abject marxist and his enablers at the helm. And they know exactly what they are about as they attempt to dissemble what over 220 years created.
But the spirit of America is still alive and has awakened.
...and it is forcing thee enemies, and to be sure, they are enemies to everything we hold dear, to hurry, and make their designs more plain with every passing day and to make many large mistakes, awakening further more Americans.
Now, America is at the crossroads of history, with the opportunity to start turning the long coup around in 2010 and 2012 and that freedom and true morally based liberty and this Union might not perish from the earth. Shall we do so?
You bet!
As seen this July 4th on www.jeffhead.com:
"Barack Hussein Obama, hear us, loyal Americans whose bloodlines run deep in this land, back to the founding & beyond, who have watered the ground of this nation & foreign soils to maintain our liberty & constitution: Molon Labe-Sic Semper Tyranus-De Oppresso Liber. Your Marxism shall not stand in this land, so help us God!" - Jeff Head, July 3, 2010
Dissemble ~ "to lie, to mislead"
Disassemble = "to take apart"
Nice pun!
I’ve made such a point of avoiding Zero’s speeches that I have very little idea what he sounds like. The phraseology is very similar to what I’ve read, though.
Hehehe...I actually meant the second, but the first works ok too! lOL!
Got this list from a friend and it sure makes sense to me, I added the CCW permit as I had to renew mine last year and had to PROVE I was a US Citizen as part of the Patriot Act.
This got my attention, it made me realize how many times I’m asked for ID, I never thought about it before. Now that I have, I can’t for the life of me see why you’d get upset. Heck, hubby was even “carded” recently to buy beer and he is 70!
**********************************************
I’m a legal American citizen and I must show my ID when:
1. Pulled over by the police.
2. Making purchases on my department store credit card.
3. When I show up for a doctor’s appointment.
4. When filling out a credit card or loan application.
5. When applying for or renewing a driver’s license or passport.
6.. When applying for any kind of insurance.
7. When filling out college applications.
8. When donating blood.
9. When obtaining certain prescription drugs..
10. When making some debit purchases, especially
if I’m out of state.
11. When collecting a boarding pass for airline or train travel.
12. Prove you are an American Citizen to be a CCW permit holder.
I’m sure there are more instances, but the point is that we citizens of the USA are required to prove who we are nearly every day!
Why should people in this country illegally, be exempt!!!!!
Why shouldn’t we guard our borders as closely as every other country in the world does?
Go ARIZONA GO!!!
