Wow! I'm 62 years old and not yet a grandfather - I started late and still have kids at home - my oldest is 31 but she hasn't gotten married yet - we can only hope!

Conor, I married my sailor boy on my 18th birthday. My parents were so against it but we were in love and he was getting ready to go on a long cruise and we just wanted to marry before he left. We had a very nice small church wedding though. And it lasted until May, 2004 when he passed away!

That's the way it should be, Jaycee. I'm sure Hubby is looking down from on high at his children, grandchildren, and great grandchild!

I believe that too, Conor. But I think in Heaven, that they can’t see bad things that happen down here, do you? Because Heaven is a peaceful place with no more worries. And if they could see the bad things, it wouldn’t be Heaven.
By the way, I just figured it out that I was a grandmother at 49 and again at 51 and thats all the grandchildren I have! My youngest son doesn’t have children. His first marriage lasted 10 years and then a divorce and he’s never married again. He says he looks every day....LOL! He had one serious relationship since his divorce and it didn’t work out in the long run. He’s says “she’s out there somewhere”.

Hope he finds someone, Jaycee - I went through a divorce - not a happy thing - Had two children with the first wife - four with my current wife - we've been married for 22 years now - I guess this one is going to last.

Well, with your total of 6 kids, when you do start having grandchildren, you could have dozens of grandchildren. You’ll be yelling “Please, no more”!! LOL!! One good thing about grandchildren, when you get tired you can send them home!
See ya tomorrow. Enjoyed chatting with you!

My Lord July 31, 2010
On the day of His resurrection, Jesus appeared to His disciples and showed them His hands and feet. We are told that at first they could not believe for joyit appeared too wonderful to be true (Luke 24:40-41). Thomas was not with the disciples, but he also had trouble believing until he saw for himself. When Jesus appeared to Thomas and told him to put his fingers in the nail holes and his hand in His side, Thomas cried, My Lord and my God! (John 20:28).
Later, as Paul told the Philippians of his own suffering, he also declared Jesus as Lord. He testified that he had come to the place where he considered all his experiences as loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord (Phil. 3:8).
You and I have never seen Jesus calm a storm or raise someone from the dead. We havent sat at His feet on a Galilean hillside and heard Him teach. But through eyes of faith we have been spiritually healed by His death on our behalf. Thus we can join Thomas and Paul and countless others in acknowledging Jesus as our Lord.
Jesus said, Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed (John 20:29). When we believe, we too can call Jesus, My Lord and my God!
See, from His head, His hands, His feet,
Sorrow and love flow mingled down;
Did eer such love and sorrow meet,
Or thorns compose so rich a crown? Watts
Though we cannot see Him with our eyes, we can believe with our heartHe is Lord!
Read: John 20:19-29
Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God!
John 20:28

YUK, WORST NASTY coffee I’ve ever tasted! Plain old Kroger’s coffee or Folgers works for me. I don’t know how people drink that stuff. One was enough to last me a life time.

The Little Red Rocker
(Laurie E. Dawson)
The little red rocker was just the right size
To rock her baby doll that had sleepy eyes;
She sang lullabies and crooned soft and low
To the land of sweet dreams where sleepy dolls go.
The little girl soon outgrew the red chair,
The years seemed to fly that we had to share;
Then one day she left for her home that was new
Leaving behind the sleepy doll too.
Years later at Christmas she came for a stay
To visit Grandmother and make her heart gay.
She brought her little girl who was bonny and fair
And just the right size for the red rocking chair.
Then grandmother came with the doll from the shelf
To place in her arms, so the lassie herself
Could sing lullabies and croon soft and low
To the land of sweet dreams where sleepy dolls go.
