LOL! Wish there were more preachers with a sense of humor! Glad you enjoyed it!
We had a very good service this morning.
;o)
I woke up from my nap and thought it was 7:30 instead of 3:30. I have been working on house projects this past week..work a little and rest a lot..I would take anout 5 naps a day..LOL
I slowly got a lot done..more to do..but the good news is that with careful stops and gos I was able to actually DO something without ending up in agony..
Small steps..but progress!
I have so much to do, I don’t want to even think about it. But, you are my inspiration - a little bit at a time - that’s the ticket.
I had a housekeeper up until a year ago. She was WONDERFUL - and only came once every six weeks - to do a good clean on everything. BUT.......I found out that my missing jewelry wasn’t missing afterall. It had been STOLEN!
Her husband was arrested for theft - yet still holds a good job at a major resort, here. (Can you believe it?)
I think they pawned stuff for money - as their children are in a Charter school, they drive a nice (fairly new) SUV. I should’a known better! (I even cooked meals for them, feeling bad that they worked so hard.
So, I’m on my own now - don’t trust anybody that I don’t know.
You could hire a bonded company like Merry Maids to help catch you up and then keep up in small steps..I can’t believe the guy is working. I am sorry your jewelry was stolen...and by people you trusted.
Yorkie..I have been catching up on last week’s thread and read about your night scare...I hate that happened to you..I never open my sliding doors anymore..took the screens off all but one...I live in a very safe neighborhood but never tempt fate. On a perfect spring night I would love to open the doors...but never do.
I grew up where a hook on a screen door was all that kept out robbers...and every window was open in the summer.
Times have sadly changed.
One must really set expectations differently when doing small steps..If I tend to drift into comparisons of what I once could do in a day ... that is not helpful.
I have had someone to clean my house when I had a much larger home but felt it was good exercise for me here...until I just could not do it .
I am trying to “use it and not lose it “. Carefully
I am going to keep at it..small step by step when I am able.
Of course I was not on the internet while I was doing this and missed you all.
I would love to have Merry Maids - but last time I used them, their husbands (in two separate cars) brought them here, and while they stayed outside - the men spent the hours looking over the house, and walking all over the property - and it made me feel VERY uneasy (and they did not speak English, either.)
NOT good!
Just try the one corner..one step at a time method...Making a long list and looking at all that needs doing is a sure downer....and “step stopper”
I just heard the welcome sound of thunder..turned on the TV radar..very small chance of rain..but any would be so nice.
I know - I tried the front porch last week. It was full of pine needles from a sick tree, and cobwebs and dust and pollen. I thought it would be a couple hour job - and before I was done, I had decided this is going to kill me.
It is not all that big - but four swivel rockers and two tables, plus the carpet and walls and ceiling - all needed vacuumed, and the furniture polished - and I took it all off the porch to do the vacuuming. It took forever - and it was SOooooooo hot.
Finally the monsoon clouds came in and cooled it down - but it still took over four hours and did me in! LOL!
Thank you Meg! And for the lovely flower and matching frame. Have been gone since this morning, doing the usual boring stuff. Hope you have been having a good day!!!
I would have been in traction in the hospital..
At least next time slide the furniture..even though moving is best..and that was not taking small steps..That was like one of my compulsive “I am going to finish this if it kills me jobs” I once did..
I can’t do that any more...so I am forced into small steps. It’s frustrating but it works much better than not doing at all...
It’s raining..whoopee!
I have and now lovely rain is falling..So welcome!
We sure could use rain here! We have been getting monsoon clouds every day - and there is major flooding in Phoenix (100 miles south) and Flagstaff (30 miles north) but not one drop here! Enjoy it!
I forgot to say you’re welcome.
;o)
My sprained wrists
allergies
My biggest problems seems to be able to keep tract of things & REMEMBER
You sure seem to have your share of problems! Will PRAY you get better! *HUGS*
It’s over now but the forecast has a chance of more rain this week..Lately all rain has passed us by, too.
Seems like it's been trying to rain here for days! Nothing, nada! Skys are gray and even thunders on and off! Nothing, nada! Rains in other areas of the state! Here! Nothing, nada! But I'm happy you are getting rain! :)
