I have so much to do, I don’t want to even think about it. But, you are my inspiration - a little bit at a time - that’s the ticket.
I had a housekeeper up until a year ago. She was WONDERFUL - and only came once every six weeks - to do a good clean on everything. BUT.......I found out that my missing jewelry wasn’t missing afterall. It had been STOLEN!
Her husband was arrested for theft - yet still holds a good job at a major resort, here. (Can you believe it?)
I think they pawned stuff for money - as their children are in a Charter school, they drive a nice (fairly new) SUV. I should’a known better! (I even cooked meals for them, feeling bad that they worked so hard.
So, I’m on my own now - don’t trust anybody that I don’t know.
You could hire a bonded company like Merry Maids to help catch you up and then keep up in small steps..I can’t believe the guy is working. I am sorry your jewelry was stolen...and by people you trusted.
Yorkie..I have been catching up on last week’s thread and read about your night scare...I hate that happened to you..I never open my sliding doors anymore..took the screens off all but one...I live in a very safe neighborhood but never tempt fate. On a perfect spring night I would love to open the doors...but never do.
I grew up where a hook on a screen door was all that kept out robbers...and every window was open in the summer.
Times have sadly changed.
One must really set expectations differently when doing small steps..If I tend to drift into comparisons of what I once could do in a day ... that is not helpful.
I have had someone to clean my house when I had a much larger home but felt it was good exercise for me here...until I just could not do it .
I am trying to “use it and not lose it “. Carefully
I am going to keep at it..small step by step when I am able.
Of course I was not on the internet while I was doing this and missed you all.
