Oh, NO! Not again! PLEASE!!!!!!! LOL! Nighty, night!!!
The kids have all enjoyed ChuckECheese. Since Marissa’s birthday is in December, we have to celebrate indoors. We’ve been to ChuckECheese twice. We went to John’s Incredible Pizza once. That is an upscale ChuckECheese.
She enjoys Sunday School, VBS and also Saturday Bible Study. I’m glad she enjoys it so much.
How fun it’ll be on the train to Portland! Many years ago we trained it from Cleveland to Palm Springs. I loved it, even though it took about a week.
Probably will feel good just to get away and out of California, at least for awhile. Will look forward to pictures, etc! When do you all leave?
We will be gone for a week. We are catching the train the evening of the 6th. We will get to Portland the afternoon of the 7th.
One of MrJust’s nephew lives there. I’m hoping he can get off work so we can visit one day.
August 6th is coming up really fast. Marissa will start school the Monday after we get home.
OHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh now that is a dream I pray comes true!!! Oh God let it be so!!
I can say an Amen to that!
When my kids were young, I thought they would be impressed with what few accomplishments I may have hadthat they would read my books and be impressed by my speaking engagements. But then I discovered that they hadnt read any of my books and had no idea where I had been on a speaking gig. When my oldest son finally read one of my books, he told me that the only reason he read it was so that I would stop telling people that my children have never read my books!
Lets face itfor the most part, kids are not impressed with our accomplishments. So the only way to bridge the gap is to meet them where they are, to get into their worldlike getting into a game of Chutes and Ladders or playing catch in the backyard.
Jesus did this with us. John said of Jesus, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory (John 1:14). In other words, He stooped down to our level when He came to this earth, which led to His greatest accomplishment of all: bridging the gap between His world and ours once and for all. Only then could we begin to understand how worthy He is of our utmost adoration and praise!
Awww, cute! And the poem too!

Cute cat graphic. Thank you for sharing your cute find.
Have a great WFWednesday.
Morning, folks. I have been on the phone with the police department all morning.
At 3:33 am this morning, a whistle woke me up. It came from right outside the open window in my bedroom. I thought, “That is strange.....birds don’t sing in the middle of the night.” Immediately, another whistle from a further distance - a different whistle from the first.
Instantly, I realized that someone was outside my bedroom window, ‘signaling’ to someone else.
I ran to the hall, and flipped on all the flood-lights outside. Then, I sat with the locked and loaded piece of iron in my hand....waiting.
I guess the lights must have scared ‘them’ off, as there was no more whistling - and no further disturbance.
The police dispatcher said that what I experienced was VERY alarming - as I live in a very secluded area surrounded with trees. She said to look at it like this:
“The first whistle was from a coyote, signaling to other coyotes.....and I was the rabbit!”
They are going to send more police out to check the area in the night. She asked if I had a fire-arm, and said she couldn’t recommend anything - but told me where to go to buy something more powerful, and take ‘conceal’ classes, just in case I might be so inclined.
Before I hung up, she told me that she got chills, hearing about my experience, and to PLEASE NEVER LEAVE MY WINDOWS OPEN AT NIGHT, ever again! (And, turn on the alarm every night before turning in.)
I live in a very secluded area - and always found it very peaceful. I have had problems with prowlers before, but not ones that would ‘signal’ each other.
I am thankful to be here this Wednesday morning, to wish you all a happy day! Stay safe everyone! (((((HUGS)))))
