Four cups of coffee a day may keep certain cancers away.
A new study involving a Utah researcher found caffeinated coffee may protect drinkers from cancers of the oral cavity and pharynx.
Regular coffee drinkers defined as four cups or more a day reduce their risk of the cancers by 39 percent, according to a study published Tuesday by the American Association for Cancer Research.
Huntsman Cancer Institute investigator Mia Hashibe was involved in the effort to pool results from nine studies, collected by the International Head and Neck Cancer Epidemiology consortium, which led to the findings.
According to a news release by the American Association for Cancer Research, other recent research has linked coffee with lower cancer risks:
Those who drank five or more cups of coffee a day had a reduced risk of brain tumors known as gliomas.
Men who drank six cups or more a day had a 60 percent lower risk of aggressive prostate cancer than men who didnt drink any coffee.

Good one! You must realize that at my age I’m doing just fine with one. I must say that a couple of the women doing the hugging were quite special in a couple of big ways.
I think they just want any excuse to touch an apostate. Garment check you know.

No one in my extended family has ever gotten cancer. Very heavy coffee drinkers. My father, his father, and all of his 8 siblings died in their 60’s and very early 70’s of heart attacks though, before they could get cancer.

I hear that is not uncommon in Southern Utah. Isaiah 4:1
In that day seven women will take hold of one man in that day, saying, We will eat our own bread and wear our own clothes, only let us be called by your name;

Regardless of whether that hot coffee poured into your mug is decaf or full-caffeinated bliss,
this mugs design will become animated by the hot liquid.
Choosing death over having to drink decaf may seem a bit extreme,
but you just cant mess with a mans coffee.

oh, good.
I do have fewer headaches since I went back to caffeinated sodas. MrR goes for coffee with the men in town every morning. They have coffee, chat (gossip), and wait for the mail to arrive. LOL.
BTW, Thunderbird Coffee is the BEST!

This week is Norwegian week in Southern Utah. Wife's family name of Kampen originated in Summit South Dakota from Lillehammer Norway. We are hosting Kampen cousins from all over the country and flying the Norwegian flag here at the ranch. I can't imagine how much coffee we will go through.
The Utah cousins will be sneaking theirs out behind the coffee shack.

Maybe I’ll start a Postum klatch using the real stuff hiding in a Postum bottle.
My Swedish grandmother used to brew a cup after grandfather went out to the fields. She just made it in a saucepan and kept her stash of coffee hidden from Grandpa, the Bishop of Wilson Lane.
