Honda is smart enough to know that pretty girls sell more stuff than geeky guys.

It looks cool with hot chicks riding them. Agree.
Now imagine it with slightly effeminate looking Japanese men riding it.
Now grab a bottle of brain-bleach and apply generously ...

IMHO, it’s a great invention. There are millions of people who need mobility devices, for a variety of health reasons. This unicycle will suffice for many people, and is a lot more compact than an electric scooter.
To: Huck
Good if you cant walk for some reason. It looks like you need to use your legs to balance the thing. It works with your natural balance. But if your legs are disabled, you'll probably just fall off.

Wow. Un-f-ing-believable.
That’s a whole new revolution, right there.
Granny having trouble walking? Parapalegic back from the war? Long tiring unavoidable walks? City bus replacement?
Geez. Great stuff.
Probably some flies in that ointment, but they’ll get it worked out over time. Wow.

It’s pretty cool. You can carry it, and it balances by itself.

Watching the video, two questions/thoughts occurred to me. What would be the application for this? Those two women should have been walking. It wouldn’t be of much use to someone truly disabled.
The other thing was - wow, owning one of those will wear out your shoes much quicker than walking ever could.
To: tet68
Cross-breed it with one of these, and they'll have something I can use!

I'm not sure what the practical application of this will be.
I've seen Segways in use at factories, and by airport FBO line crews.
The Segway is nowhere near as pervasive as Kaman thought it would be.
