Dutch murder suspect Joran van der Sloot says he'll reveal the location of U.S. teen Natalee Holloway's body if authorities transfer him from Peru's most infamous prison to a jail in Aruba, Radio Netherlands Worldwide reports Sunday.
Van der Sloot, who reportedly fears for his safety inside the infamous Miguel Castro Castro prison, said he will disclose information about Holloway's remains on condition that he be transferred to his native Aruba.
Peruvian President Alan García said Van der Sloot will serve his prison sentence in Peru, according to Radio Netherlands Worldwide. And the prosecutor's office on Aruba has reportedly said there is no treaty allowing prisoner transfers between Peru and the Netherlands.
Efforts by the FBI to try to solve the Holloway case may have inadvertently helped fund the travel that enabled the murder of Flores in Van der Sloot's hotel room.
Believing it was closing in on Van der Sloot, the FBI videotaped and allowed him to be paid $25,000 in a sting operation in Aruba last month. But it held off on arresting him, and he took the money and flew to Peru.

The Flores woman was the daughter of a Peruvian nationally known race car driver- a major public figure in the country. No way is Sloot leaving.
LOL, you really know how to hurt a guy don’t you.
nine years for murder? really.

Yeah, I don't think he's leaving until he's served his sentence. The only thing I don't know for sure, though, is how long his sentence will be. I know what the maximum is -- and that's 35 years. And I also know what the minimum can be, in his situation -- and that can be from 3 to 5 years...
So, his sentence will probably be somewhere between 5 and 35 years ... we'll have to wait and see what it turns out to be.
This from a previous article ...
Bingo, you win and the girls father has plenty of small fees.
nine years for murder? really.
Actually, it can be as little as three years for murder ... hoo-boy!
See Post #85 ...
He hasn't ???
I would not make that bet
I think everybody is too smart to take this “deal”. We all know what would happen- Joran tells the Holloway family “She’s in the ocean!” as he skips away to freedom in Aruba.
//OJ hasnt killed again//
Or even more likely before.
That is just NOT right.
From an Indiana Jones movie
“[Peru prepares to torture Joran with a hot poker]
Joran: Wait, wait! I can be reasonable!
Peru: That time has passed.
Joran: You don’t need that. I’ll tell you everything!
Peru: Yes, I know you will. “
That is just NOT right.
Yeah..., it wouldn't be here -- but not all cultures are the same as ours ... that's just the way it is with so many different countries and different kinds of people in the world.
We can say what we want to do for our country but not for other people's countries.
I am sure he took her to his room to rob her....so how many years do you get for killing someone for their money?
LOL ... that’s great for movies... but the Peruvian authorities “tortured” Joran van der Sloot with all the steaks he could eat, any time he wanted, and fed him as much food as he wanted, gave him all the cigarettes he wanted ... and basically “killed him with kindness” .... no joke ... that’s what they did ... :-)
“”And the prosecutor’s office on Aruba has reportedly said there is no treaty allowing prisoner transfers between Peru and the Netherlands.””
Between Peru and the Netherlands? I thought the article was about - from Peru to Aruba!
I would say get all the information from him they can and WHEN it proves accurate - he MIGHT get a transfer - that’s if he’s still alive.
I think the US authorities will want to get their hands on Joran van der Sloot when his sentence is served in Peru ... :-)
you mean the body?
Even a monster can be naive in SOME areas.
(Trust me that I know what a disgusting, manipulative and calculating individual he is.)
I am sure he took her to his room to rob her....so how many years do you get for killing someone for their money?
The only thing I saw in the news reports was that chart that I copied and posted here...
See Post #85 ... (I didn't see anything else other than this...).
It probably fits under the premeditated, aggravated murder, which has a maximum of 35 years. But, I've also read in news reports that this particular sentence can "net" perhaps 9 or 10 years, too ...
It doesn't look like they've got anything longer than 35 years to me.
But, another thing to consider too (and I would imagine that his own attorney is thinking this, too) -- if he can maintain that it was murder as a result of "violent emotion" (it appeared from some initial news reports that this is what he was saying), then it might be just a maximum of five years.
I would imagine that they would have to have some kind of forensic evidence which could show that it was "premediated" instead of "spur of the moment". You gotta know that his attorney is going to say it was "spur of the moment" ...
