Van Der Sloot Willing to Tell Where Holloway's Buried in Exchange for Transfer to Aruba

Dutch murder suspect Joran van der Sloot says he'll reveal the location of U.S. teen Natalee Holloway's body if authorities transfer him from Peru's most infamous prison to a jail in Aruba, Radio Netherlands Worldwide reports Sunday.

Van der Sloot, who reportedly fears for his safety inside the infamous Miguel Castro Castro prison, said he will disclose information about Holloway's remains on condition that he be transferred to his native Aruba.

Peruvian President Alan García said Van der Sloot will serve his prison sentence in Peru, according to Radio Netherlands Worldwide. And the prosecutor's office on Aruba has reportedly said there is no treaty allowing prisoner transfers between Peru and the Netherlands.

Efforts by the FBI to try to solve the Holloway case may have inadvertently helped fund the travel that enabled the murder of Flores in Van der Sloot's hotel room.

Believing it was closing in on Van der Sloot, the FBI videotaped and allowed him to be paid $25,000 in a sting operation in Aruba last month. But it held off on arresting him, and he took the money and flew to Peru.

Sounds like O.J. might get a new trial. He had a small victory on Friday in front of the NV Supreme Court.

methinks joran is already all in in this game and his chips are near worthless..he might be able to bargain for a few extra days in solitary or some booze to ease the pain, but he isn’t leaving Peru vertical...

If you were on a tiny speck of land in the middle of the ocean and you wanted to dispose of something so it would never be found, would you bury on that tiny speck or throw it in the ocean? He might agree to lead them to her body to get out of Peru but I’ll bet he couldn’t find her body, it was fish food.

“I think I’d just let him enjoy the Peruvian jail system....it’ll give him what he needs.”

Exactly-he’ll be dead inside of a year and he knows it. He deserves it.

You were saying ...

I wouldn’t let this guy go to Aruba, ever.

Well..., the thing is -- the Aruban authorities don't want him either ... LOL ..

It's only the FBI and the US authorities who want him, from that sting that they did with Natalee Holloway's mother, where the FBI gave van der Sloot $25,000 for telling them where Holloway's body was -- and then the US charged him with Extortion and Wire Fraud ...

Natalie’s family should give another $25,000 to make sure he stays in Peru.

Nah — let him “enjoy” the Peruvian prison for a couple of months. By then, he’ll be willing to draw a detailed map in exchange for something like a pillow — or one night in a “private” cell...

The first time I heard this thrown out by Joran I thought he was wasting his breath.

If I were the Holloway’s I’d be sending money down to various prisoneers to give Joran everything he deserves.

I’m afraid that Natalee’s mother Beth, will have to accept:

1. Joran Van der Sloot drugged & killed her daughter while attempting to rape her on the beach (he confessed)
2. Natalee’s body was hidden in one of several places until Paulus van der Sloot bribed someone with a boat.
3. Natalee’s body was disposed of at sea and will never be found.
4. Joran will work on one or more stories that will incorporate bits of truth in an effort to get a deal.
5. Peru will never release him to Aruba.

I wouldn’t say they’re not interested in it. Getting the details in Natalie’s death or location would be great PR for Peru, and you can’t take the “PR” out of PERU. LOL

Well, I would say that -- specifically from what the chief investigator has said in news reports. He said that they avoided any and all questioning having to do with any other case, and only questioned regarding the Stephany Flores case.

When van der Sloot did "let slip" some information about Natalee Holloway, the Peruvian authorities said they didn't want to know ... and they dropped it and would not follow up with any questioning regarding it.

That's why I say they are not interested. They are not going to do anything to jeopardize their Stepany Flores case in Peru.

He won’t get to leave Peru’s jurisdiction because he killed the daughter of a very much beloved Peruvian race car driver and also was politically popular.

having siad that, he may be able to trade prison conditions/safety for the info..if it proves true...If she is with the ocean ..forget it.

If I thought the U.S. would torch him, I’d be all for it.

As it is, what’s the point? In some ways our legal system has been reduced to the point of being no better than that of Aruba IMO.

It’s astounding who we let back on the streets these days.

I think the US authorities will want to get their hands on Joran van der Sloot when his sentence is served in Peru ... :-)

It ain’t worth it, Ms. Holloway..

I think she is appreciative of the fact the kid is alone in a Peruvian prison with absolutely no one able to come visit him.....
