Van Der Sloot Willing to Tell Where Holloway's Buried in Exchange for Transfer to Aruba

Dutch murder suspect Joran van der Sloot says he'll reveal the location of U.S. teen Natalee Holloway's body if authorities transfer him from Peru's most infamous prison to a jail in Aruba, Radio Netherlands Worldwide reports Sunday.

Van der Sloot, who reportedly fears for his safety inside the infamous Miguel Castro Castro prison, said he will disclose information about Holloway's remains on condition that he be transferred to his native Aruba.

Peruvian President Alan García said Van der Sloot will serve his prison sentence in Peru, according to Radio Netherlands Worldwide. And the prosecutor's office on Aruba has reportedly said there is no treaty allowing prisoner transfers between Peru and the Netherlands.

Efforts by the FBI to try to solve the Holloway case may have inadvertently helped fund the travel that enabled the murder of Flores in Van der Sloot's hotel room.

Believing it was closing in on Van der Sloot, the FBI videotaped and allowed him to be paid $25,000 in a sting operation in Aruba last month. But it held off on arresting him, and he took the money and flew to Peru.

I think she is appreciative of the fact the kid is alone in a Peruvian prison with absolutely no one able to come visit him.....

If I were the relative of someone he'd killed, I might visit him to gloat over his capture and how hard a time he was having in prison.

As it is, what’s the point? In some ways our legal system has been reduced to the point of being no better than that of Aruba IMO.

LOL ... well the point is that the US authorities (along with Natalee Holloway's mother, too) wants Joran van der Sloot to serve time for his additional crimes of Extortion and Wire Fraud, in addition to his Peruvian sentence.

And..., they might get lucky and be able to get more information regarding any additional crimes regarding the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. At any rate, I know that the US wants "their shot" at van der Sloot, once he's done with the Peruvian authorities. ... :-)

Serve the time where you did the crime.

Give him a few weeks in the Peruvian jail, then ask his new boyfriend what he thinks about this.

Maybe Peru should keep him 30-25 years then transfer him for the balance of his life to Aruba.

Well, the thing is -- the Aruban authorities don't want Joran van der Sloot. And the last time the police there tried to arrest him, the Judicial system (i.e., judges there) turned down their request, so they were prevented from doing it.

It's only the US authorities who want Joran van der Sloot -- and that is for their Extortion and Wire Fraud case, stemming from the $25,000 that Natalee Holloway's mother gave van der Sloot for information on the whereabout's of Holloway's body.

Good then ... let the US take him. Put him in general population though.

It’s a trap. He’ll split once they touch down in Aruba.

Actually it's "bogus" -- because the Aruban authorities don't want him ...

Once he’s done serving his sentence in Peru, I have no problem with him being picked up and dealt with in the States, adding more time.

I don’t want him to miss his chance to serve a decade or more in Peruvian prisons.

As for the Holloways, this guy is never going to give them satisfaction short of being let off on some charges.

Sadly, they need to understand that.

Natalie’s family should give another $25,000 to make sure he stays in Peru

Well... actually Natalee Holloway's mother and the FBI originally gave Joran van der Sloot the $25,000 in order to get the case of "Extortion" and "Wire Fraud" going against him. And they've got that in court right now ...

Perhaps if Natalie’s mom offered $25,000 to the first prisoner at CASTRO CASTRO to get Joran to tell him where the body is (and dependent on it being found there)?

(She could probably get an answer for $2,500)

Bet they get an answer quick.

I doubt that. My first impressions of him is he’s smart, calculating, slimy and slippery. He wants to go back to Aruba because he’s got personal connections there and it would be a chance to slip through the fingers of two countries. Peruvian official know this, and anything to do with the Holloway case has no bearing on their case.

I AGREE WITH THE DEAL.

After he serves his 9 years, transfer his remains to an Aruban prison.

When slavery was abolished the people in the Dutch West Indies turned to new sources of income ~ "white slavery", gambling, smuggling, organized theft, and a wide variety of other crimes.

They're much better behaved these days, but that's a relative sort of thing. In reality the criminals still run the place.

It’s astounding who we let back on the streets these days.

And that many of them are working in our federal government.

That would be far I was going with my comment.

Let the kid who speaks many languages dwell in the hell that is a South American prison.

The federal US extortion charges against this monster were substantiated by his previously saying he would reveal where her body was for $250K. He got 25K and the FBI followed him to Peru, where he killed the Flores woman. There is NO way anyone could or should believe anything this nightmare has to say. And, he killed the Holloway girl, too.

Well... you do know how the Peruvian authorities got such a full, complete and "remarkable" confession from Joran van der Sloot on the Stephany Flore murder, don't you? [those are the words from the Peruvian authorities themselves ...]

They gave him steaks whenever he wanted it. They gave him all the food he could eat, whenever he wanted. And they gave him all the cigarettes he could smoke and they treated him with kindness... you know ... "killing him with kindness" ...

And from that van der Sloot gave them enough information that now the Peruvian authorities say that they have "practically closed the case" on the Stephany Flores murder -- that's how full and complete the confession was ... hoo-boy! ... :-)
