Anybody else find all of those Progressive Insurance commercials annoying?

Anyway, the owner of Progressive Insurance is a big lib.

Conservatives Urged to Avoid Progressive Insurance CNSNews.com ^ | 12/13/2005 | Unknown

(CNSNews.com) - A conservative advocacy group is urging its supporters to cancel their policies with Progressive Insurance, after Peter Lewis, the company's chairman, reportedly gave $8.5 million to the American Civil Liberties Union. The multi-million dollar donation will help the ACLU advance its liberal agenda, including its "war on Christmas," the American Family Association warned. In an email message, AFA Founder and Chairman Don Wildmon urged his supporters to "sign a letter to Chairman Lewis, letting him know" that his donation to the ACLU is prompting conservatives to cancel their insurance policies. The AFA recently announced that it was ending its boycott of Target stores, after the retailer promised to use the word "Christmas" in its advertising and in-store promotions.

I despise those ads, I'd never purchase insurance from a company that believes that THAT is a good ad campaign.

Same with geico --- WHY do they think I want to hear that horrible British Voice twenty times a day on the radio; one can tune to a different station but frequently SEVERAL stations are blaring their stinking awful commercials at the same time.

When I see that progressive lib on TV I immediately turn the channel, they've bought so many time slots on so many channels that I do not like their INTRUSION into my home, I'd never ever buy insurance from such.

Progressive is a non-standard auto insurance company. Most conservatives have good enough credit scoring, driving records and own homes to get multipolicy credits to go with standard carriers like State Farm and Allstate for a better rate.

Progressive covers drivers with DUI’s and SR22’s for habitual violators. They also have good rates for young drivers (under 25, but off of parent’s policy). They are a good price for the people in their market, but I wouldn’t have them unless I had to. We do have motorcycle insurance with them, no one else has it as cheap. $50 every six months for liability/medical payments and uninsured motorist coverage. You can’t beat that price.

Erin Esurance is better looking, and she isn't even real (but Esurance has similar "progressive" problems as their competitor Progressive)

Progressive is tons cheaper than State Farm etc. regardless of their idiotic commercials that claim they are cheaper than Progressive and Geico.

I hate the commercial, but not the way I have been treated.

Progressive was amazing to work with when I had an accident in ice in January.

“Flo” is related to a family friend. I hear she’s a very nice person.

We should start a thread about the most annoying TV pitchmen. How about that weird UPS white board guy?

Casting a vote for those ridiculous *vikings* in the Capitol One credit card ads -- they don't really want to know what's in my wallet.

“Progressive covers drivers with DUI’s..”

That’s how they started. But they branched out.

It may be our age that makes progressive cheaper, as we are pretty young still, mid-20s.

But, we own a home. Even with that, I still found the “discounts” offered by State Farm etc. pathetic in comparison to Progressive’s offer.

The company’s name should have been enough of a clue about the owner’s proclivities.

>>>> "Not nearly as aggravating as that stupid Gecko." <<<<<

I happen to agree with you; I won't listen/watch either; but if a gun were put to my head and I were forced to purchase one of the two, I would not pick Geiko --- it irritated me from the beginning, WHY are they attempting to sell AMERICANS insurance from an obvious Brit????????

Oh, right, they couldn't find an American to do the job.

AND they obviously can't find a competant comedic writer anywhere. What a bunch of losers.
