You're kidding.You take a boy with attachment issues, turn him into an adolecent with super human skills and a lightsaber.Then his mother is kidnapped and tortured to death. He responds with genocidal rage. So you really think that this did not set the stage for his attachmeent and control issues with Padme? (Speaking of which, he marries an older woman and looks to the Chancellor as his father.) I just don't get why psychologists had to write about something so transparent.

I think that when a scholarly fellow ,like Campbell once was, becomes an instant celebrity and garners the adulation of hollywood types and ubiquitous college kids, he loses a sense of trust.
