In a paper published in the journal Psychiatry Research, Eric Bui and his colleagues at Toulouse University Hospital have given new meaning to the term "Jedi mind tricks" with their psychoanalysis of why the tragic "Star Wars" hero fell from Jedi grace. Apparently, he had borderline

..we knew that....
The absence of a father and early separation from his mother set the stage for his later developmental issues, the authors noted, and violent, dissociative events, such as when he kills a tribe of Tuskans in blind revenge, precipitated his turn to the Dark Side.
Stupid, wussy analysis like this is why the French keep getting their asses kicked in every war...
It could only be a government sponsored study that would even bother with psycho analyzing a fictional character...
“I find their lack of belief...disturbing.”
So,,,,Vader just needed some Prozac,,
Who did they get their funding from - The SyFy Channel?

or lots of hugs.
I’d challenge anyone to get burned up in a river of lava after getting dismembered by a lightsaber and having the strength to carry on afterward. I’m sure such a thing can’t be mentally healthy either.
Liberals don’t like the concept of evil, because they believe that socialism will solve the ills of human society.
Stimulus money.
Of course, I wouldn't rule out a little electro-shock therapy. Nothing like a good zap to get one's mind back in focus!

The socialistic French, who are responsible for the secularization of Europe, are just the right group to propose this kind of nonsense. Ignoring, in their deliberate deconstructionist way, the intent of comic book good v. evil, they plod on psychoanalyzing behavior as if anyone really cares. Yet there is always the American acolyte who sees his opportunity to get his 15 minutes on the tail of his French counterpart as does this fellow Bender in the article. Sure he doesn’t buy the French mental schtick about Darth Vader but he does think that the film character may have a personality disorder. Good grief, this is a fictional movie character not one from Shakespeare. The only reason that this film gets such credibility is that, in my opinion, the mythologist, Joseph Campbell made such a big deal about it in one of his books. Of course, using movie characters immediately makes your analysis outdated because the shelf life of their impact is less than a year. Anyhow, the French, according to a book I just read with the eponymous title, are “Our Oldest Enemy”. Best to remember that in every circumstance.
