Tonight the number of views for posts disappeared and all that displays is the number of comments. What's up with that? I LIKE seeing number of views, using it as a barometer of interest in a post.
Normally,
clicking on the sub-forum . . . e.g. Religion
and that forum’s listing of all the threads in that forum
will show the views.
I don’t know if it still does or not. Haven’t tried it recently.
BTW, all such threads as this normally entail a lot of catty jokes for the first 100 pages or so . . . welll . . . for too many posts, anyway.
I just checked in chat etc.
and the views are not there.
It may be that John too them out while debugging some software update.
He knows we like them and will likely put them back in at some point.
They're on vacation. School let out and they took the kids to Micronesia for a coiuple of weeks.
When a single-chip computer forgets what it was doing.
Numbers?? These ones are where it counts. Though you may not want to look at them...
If we all went to the mod it might get some response, but we wouldn’t all know we had the same issue. What fun would that be. You know the “Hey, I wanted to ask that question, but didn’t want to look like a dummy.” I try to just back away when I have that thought in my head. Otherwise, with me I do look like a dummy.
Hey, that’s from an ancient computer game.. usually volunteering for the project ended up with your character exiting the game as a red mist or worse.
And all without haing to try to put tutus on hippos.
(That’s fiendish!)
Hey, he’s got a gold tooth!
Get him!
];-)
/ just kidding.
As a likely answer to your question, the software may be getting some updates or tweaks here or there.
