I need to learn how to put graphics in the post.
I sure miss Calvin.
The name of the strip was a clue that it was about more than a boy and his stuffed tiger.
However Have a Jelly Donut!
Miss them too.
I don’t know if he still does, but occasionally, he would declare himself President for Life. Sounds like someone we know.
I absolutely love this comic strip. I wish Watterson would turn this into a movie. It doesn't have to be live-action. It can be animated or CGI and I'd still see it.
My grandson (now in college)and I would laugh ourselves silly over Calvin and Hobbs....the funniest little books ever! And so clever.
The pair are named after John Calvin, a 16th-century French Reformation theologian, and Thomas Hobbes, a 17th-century English political philosopher.[2] At its height, Calvin and Hobbes was featured in over 2,400 newspapers worldwide; as of January 2010, reruns of the strip still appear in more than 50 countries. Nearly 45 million copies of the 18 Calvin and Hobbes books have been sold.

No one publishes C and H anymore. The author quit. However you can buy complete C and H books at Amazon. It makes a wonderful family Gift.
My sons loved Calvin and Hobbes. Had most of their books.
The boys lived in our basement. No bathroom but there was a sliding patio door that opened into our backyard.
I could never get grass to grow outside that door.
Me too! Last week, I was playing catch with my daughter, and she made a wild throw that bounced off of two or three things. I declared “We’re playing Calvinball!”- which confused the kid, but made my wife almost double over with laughter :)
I have a great graphic of the theologin and the philospher drawn in C&H fashion. Could email
Calvin and Pogo were my 2 faves.
Sheer genius. The genius of it is that Calvin is a kid and the author succeeded in having Calvin be an actual kid. Not a kid with an adult’s mindset.
