I recently received a newsletter from a doctor who said he was so anti-smoking when he first started his practice he wouldn't even accept smokers as patients. As time went by he noticed there were more studies that indicated smoking is good for you than those which say it is bad. The ones favorable to smoking were suppressed for obvious reasons. Just like global warming the decision had already been made and the science was settled despite contrary evidence.
I also remember years ago being surprised while filling out an application for insurance. Smoking cigarettes raised the rates but smoking cigars or pipes did not. The newsletter said that was because of the chemicals they put in cigarette paper.
Bottom line, the scientific evidence shows smoking not only is not harmful but it is good for you.
My kids love fresh spinach. I guess the trick now is to get then to eat sprouts.
I regularly make mung sprouts (best eaten when tails are about 1/4 to 1/2 the length of the bean, home made are MUCH better than the white store bought kind), garbanzo sprouts and alfalfa. Used to make other kinds, I think I’ll start up.
I like ‘em raw or sauteed, not alfalfa tho’.
.
My husband puts it in his coffee every morning. It’s a nice scent.
I’m starting some lentil sprouts this evening. I’d forgotten how good they are for you.
I used to make sprouts for a living, and a very poor living it was. But I learned to really like them. Used to make a mixture of whole pea, lentil, azuki and garbanzo. Nice sprinkled in salads with dressing on them.
Mostly I use mung now. I soak for 24 hours and sprout for about 24 hours, less in hot weater. Great sauteed with rice, or just eaten raw.
I like that too. Cinnamon is great with apples and I love it in oatmeal.
It’s good in chili, too. Tumeric is also supposedly healthy, and easy to add to all kinds of dishes.
Throw little bits in their salads. Mix them with a turkey burger or beef burger. Put them in between their favorite cold cut and cheese. They’ll never know when sprouts are in a meatloaf. ;D!
My favorite vitamin.
Take as needed to free Europe.
She’s a beauty!
If I remember correctly B17 can be found in bitter almonds and the seeds of peaches/nectarines.
I add radish for spice, and green peas. L O V E fresh homemade sprouts. I make a "sandwich," two lettuce leaves with a pile of sprouts between. :o)
I have loved the B17 since I read Martin Caidin’s “Everything But The Flak.” My copy is held together with a rubber band. LOL!
Believe me the idiots in Congress are trying. McCain has led the charge on this a couple of times. Big Pharma can't patent it so they try to kill the ability for anyone to use it.
Also, Tumeric is a potent cancer fighter and fights mold spores found in people with upper respiratory infections!

The newest one is olive oil. The Government thinks it needs to clarify or regulate the different qualities of olive oil, like extra virgin, light and so forth. Guess we don't know what we like. This new regulation just in time for the first harvest press this year.
Look for olive oil to skyrocket!
