Good morning gardeners! If you are a gardener or you are just starting out and are in need of advice or just encouragement please feel free to join in and enjoy the friendly discussion. Our Freeper community is full of gardeners, each with varying interests and skill levels from Master Gardener to novice.
If you have a question about gardening or just an observation to share please feel free to stop by and participate. Paraphrasing Freeper fanfan -There are no stupid questions, just honest ones.
I have an account at Flickr and at Photo Bucket. PB wants me to download a free software to upload in bulk. I am always suspicious of free downloads. Do you have the bulk uploader software? That is one thing that I like about Flickr, I can load as many as I want at once. But I wanted to use PB as a place for pictures that I may want to put on FR and just use my Flickr, which is full, for my very favorites of my general photo hobby.
Yep, I noticed that when I went looking for that post. My son says if I had a brain I would be a danger to others...
Now another FReeper is telling me to use Fotki for $30,a year. I would like to have a site that I can link friends to so I don’t bog down their connection. I take several photos a week not only garden stuff but custom cars etc...
I don’t have a need for a bulk upload so PB is not a problem. I might do 3 or 4 photos at one time and if by chance I have more to upload I just wait until the others are done.
Thank you so much for your efforts ... that is one of the wonderful things about this group of folks.
Good question ... I don't really know. I usually upload 15 or less photos at a time. If Photobucket wanted me to download something, I probably would have because I do trust them and have never received any kind of disturbing reports from my security software. Wish I could be of more help.
Yep ... I have hundreds upon hundreds of photos in 30 or more folders on Photobucket and haven't made a dent in my allowed space. I upload quite a few pics when I sell things on eBay, and I've never cleaned them up after the auction.
PB is the only hosting website that I have ever used, so I have no ability to recommend something else to someone.
My mom told me that all the years that I was growing up, and it is a phrase that I use quite often (about myself).
We have a housebroken cat as well, and it is unusual. Spooky arrived as a stray youngin' a couple of weeks before Halloween last year and, of course, she is solid black. She was so good with my infant granddaughter that I decided she would be a good outside cat, and I started to care for her and had her spayed.
So that she could stay in the garage when it was really cold, I put a litter pan out there. There is no way in the world that I was/am putting a litter box any further inside than that! Worked well ... she prefers to go outside, but used the pan just fine if she was confined to the garage.
After a month or two, my husband (the totally non-cat person) lets the cat in the house in order to create total entertaining chaos with the 2 dogs that have never been around a cat before.
Long story made shorter -- Spook goes to the door that leads to the garage and meows any time she needs to go out. She has never gone in the house, although she is in most of the time now. Greatest cat ever, IMHO.
Squire Tom is black also (Dad was in the 13th Air Depot WWII). Does Spooky “talk” as well? When He’s ‘calling me’ it sound similar to “where are you”!
Oh, yes, I think she tries to talk too. Meow to go out sounds like a deep, drawn-out ‘out’. When she is out and wants to go in, you would swear that she is meowing ‘house’ in a short and constant cadence.
I use SHUTTERFLY for pictures.
Got the cages on the tomatoes this AM planted a couple of hills of pumpkins and surrounded the area with my merigold seeds harvested last fall.
Have been listening to my son’s new CD which will be released on Tuesday....Lots of happy country music....He’s the drummer. The video is linked there also...It’s a real “hoot” filmed in a barn near Indianapolis.
Sounds familiar. Wonder if they have similar lineage.....
Tom has large back legs and is a very large cat. He’s short haired. He follows me around the garden like a puppy. This morning I moved some plants out of a box. He jumped in, rolled on his back and meowed to have his belly rubbed....He manages hoomama and the house very well.
Maybe I am not doing something right. I loaded pictures to PB one at a time, therefore, I only have five on there when I gave it up. Maybe I should re-visit PB and look closer.
Just got in from mowing my front and side lawns. Guess what? The front end on the Grandson’s car is all smashed up again!
We have crows eating our sweet corn as soon as it shoots up,any suggestions? We are going to try one more time to plant it.
A cage of chicken wire might help.
Oh Boy... let’s see...there’s
Flickr
Photobucket
picasa
Fotki
Shutterfly
any others?
well, tubebender, you could add TinyPic to that list. I have noticed that a lot of FReepers use that one.:)
Woohoo!! That was great!
