Rick Hewitt has vision and goals, but what really matters to you as a beer drinker is that he has a 2,400 square foot brewery and tasting room in the old Rainier Brewery. There, the public will be welcome to bear witness to his passion for great beer. When the Emerald City Beer Company fires up the brew kettle, they will be making beer on sacred ground.

Isnt this the brewery you pass when going south in I-5 before the west seattle bridge? i thought that had turned into a tullys factory. or this brewery somewhere else?
I’ll drink to that!
from the source:
"The old Rainier lagering tanks are still there just outside my door. They told me it would have been too much trouble to get them out, so they're still there."
. . . and
The construction of the new brewery and tasting room is well underway and they hope to be delivering beer sometime next month.
Yup - the big red T.
Rainier was a good brew. Good ads too, featuring a
grande dame of jazz, Pearl Bailey.
Good news!
It is. Tully’s still occupies the building, but there is LOTS of space inside.
(Oh, and BTW...it’s a GREEN T...)
Is that the beer they used to advertise as “Vitamin R?”

New owner moves Tully’s Coffee roasting plant to Sumner
(excerpt)
Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, the Vermont-based company that bought Tully’s Coffee’s wholesale business in March, plans to relocate its roasting plant - known for its neon green “T” near I-5 just south of Seattle - to leased space at the White River Building in Sumner.
The move is expected in late October or November, and old Rainier Brewery building in Seattle will keep the “T” and remain the headquarters for Tully’s retail operations.
Bears prefer Rainer Beer!
Bear downs 36 beers, passes out at campground
Rainier, not Busch, the beverage of choice for thirsty black bear

Yup!!
After the Space Needle, the second place me and a friend visited in Seattle.
Free samples, ya know!
I stayed, he went to the Bay area...
Wonder if my brother still has that “Vitamin R” tee-shirt, emblazened with the Rainier “R” on it?
*gasp*
I was unaware. Thanks for setting me straight!
They made a crappy beer, but the commercials were great. We drank plenty of it coming of age in the late 70’s.

The Mickey Rooney & Boon Kirkman commercials were good too. My favorite was a refrigerator that shook down a guy on the sidewalk for a sixpack. The guy gives up his sixpack and then steals one back and runs away with the refrigerator chasing him. I cannot find it.
Oly was truely piss in a bottle. The site should be razed.
