Here is a video that is sure to test your heart. When I saw it I thought about my friend who lost his best friend Tanner, a 12 year old Golden Lab. Tanner was having troubles, but my friend was not prepared for the moment his best friend died of a massive stroke while they were playing in the yard. Well this cat made me think of how my friend felt when his best friend died.
I decided put it to the melody of "Nadia's Theme", otherwise known as Bless the Beasts and the Children or the Theme from the "Young and the Restless". Anyway, Here is a link to the video of the Stray cat comforting his fallen friend .

I just could not bear to watch the whole video. Tears are streaming down my face as I write this. One of my cats Beast is the same color as the dead cat in this video.
Makes me sick to see this. My cats Merlin and Beast stay indoors!!!! They never go outside. And they are neutered as well.
Cats do not survive well outside. Their lives are terrible. Beast is actually a rescue cat. I got him when he was very small, born to a feral mother. He is still a little wild (hence the name beast). He is afraid of people even me. I have had him for over a year now. But at bedtime he curls up beside me, and he loves to be loved on.
This video was just too sad for me to watch fully.
When one of my cats passes, the others do much the same. Yeah, definitely keep the tissue handy for this one. Thanks, One Vike.
Very moving.
I’m trying to see the video but it had trouble loading but I’ll try later. BTW, my cat Pansy was like a mother to another cat, Corky. Corky was two years younger. Pansy lived to be 19 years and 8 days before she passed away from lymphoma. Even a few hours before she passed on, Pansy still washed and took care of Corky like a mother by crawling over to her. Corky passed away a year later.
There is much we don't know or understand.
I wonder about angels unaware......
One of the saddest videos I have ever seen. (sniff) Thanks (sniff) for (sniff) posting. (sniff)
Looks like the live one is eating the dead one
I’m an animal lover. I have two cats and four dogs, and frankly, I can’t bear to watch this. I was brought to tears when I saw the dog try to help his fallen friend on the highway. The picture alone stirred sad emotion in me.
With it being Mothersday, I’m not going to watch the video. I might just get too emotional.
I have NO DOUBT that cat and dogs LOVE their humans in many cases. My mother, who I lost to cancer 25 years ago had a cat who may not have understood how sick she was, but he did know when she was feeling awful from her chemo. And he would comfort her for hours at a time.
When she didn’t come home from the hospital the last time, he pined and pined, and eventually ran away from home. I still cry when I think about that. I can only hope that the “Rainbow Bridge” story is true, and that they’re together with The Lord.
