PITTSBURGH -- A man ran up to the scene of a three-car crash, opened one of the vehicles' doors, took the female driver into a headlock and manhandled her to the ground -- but it was the woman who was eventually taken away in handcuffs, not him.
(snip)
Valentino Amaro told Channel 4 Action News reporter Ari Hait that he met the woman in the same area last night and let her spend the night at his home because she needed a place to stay. But when he woke up to go downtown to his job at the Omni William Penn Hotel, both she and his car were gone, along with his wallet.
So, Amaro said he went back to the area of Centre Avenue where he originally met the woman -- and after he had been standing there throughout the day, he eventually saw her drive by in his car.
He said he ran toward the car, and the woman crashed as she tried to get away, so he sprang into action and grabbed her out of the vehicle, not knowing what else to do.

I had a boyfriend once who had his car stolen...bummed out, he called a friend, they had a few cocktails and he ended up crashed out on his friend’s couch. The next morning he woke up, looked outside and saw his car parked across the steet! The person who stole his car happened to live across the street from his friend...HOW WEIRD IS THAT????

With a name like Valentino Amaro, I can guess why he 'let her spend the night at his house'.It was destiny.

    Poor guy! His
heart is soooo big that he takes home some woman he finds on the street. What a humanitarian!
While I am certain he did a public service by getting her jailed, I am of the opinion that he will follow her behind bars for soliciting prostitution.

I don’t think it was his HEART that was so....

Actually, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they did get married. Strange (and often not very bright) people out there.

"Maybe everybody at the William Penn will see that I wasn't lying..."High-class dude. All he's worried about is whether his fellow barflies believe him.
