Country music is about to take part in the biggest coming out party ever.
Singer Chely Wright will be sticking her boot into the traditionally conservative community by announcing she is a lesbian in People Magazine next week, TMZ reports.

Shelby Lynn is a lez? Mmmm, did not know that. And just realized I did not care.
I think I’ll make a “COMING OUT” annoucement. Here goes! I’m straight! And I doubt anyone cares.
"eyep,time for anutter round up"
According to the article she’s a Christian. I think an announcement about that would have a bigger impact and probably take more guts in this day and age.
I thought one of them like county and other liked western...
I can’t find anything that says Lacy J. Dalton is a lesbian, are you sure you don’t mean K.D. Lang?
Same here.
Lacey J Dalton Gay!!
However the only thing Google finds on the interwebs that suggests that is the case is your post.
She looks familiar. I think I mighta knocked boots with her in Amarillo.
I take full responsamability for her defecation.
I remember Shelby Lynne, but not well enough to remember anything she recorded. I used to see her on television occasionally.
I don’t know that she was good enough to have risen to stardom anyway.
Who?
zacly
Me neither.
But by coming out as a dyke, she gets a big write up in People Magazine and will be plastered all over the MSM for weeks to come.
So you're saying she ought to tour with Jennifer Knapp?
Cheers!
Don’t care, don’t know her. Wouldn’t buy her albums anyway. Being ‘gay’ is just a celebrity accessory nowadays, a way to get people writing about you.

#1 hit with Single White Female and also hit with The Bumper of My SUV
from Wikipedia:
“The Bumper of My SUV” is a single, released in November 2004, by American country music artist Chely Wright...The song garnered attention when it was first played for troops while Wright was visiting Iraq. Written entirely by Wright, the song is a ballad, accompanied almost exclusively by piano. Its lyrics are a first-person account of a woman who is driving her SUV. She is given the finger by another driver, due to the fact that she (the singer) has “a bright red sticker for the U.S. Marines / on the bumper of [her] SUV”.
The singer then defends her sticker, stating that her family served in the Marines. The song was inspired by an actual incident, according to Wright. Wright has stated that she did not intend for the song to be pro-war. In addition, she has stated that she recorded the song begrudgingly, and did not intend for it to be a single.
My tagline applies to her also.
I just remember she played Johnny Cash’s mother in ‘Walk the Line’.
I didn’t even remember that. I tried to watch the movie, but thought it was excruciatingly awful.
I guess that is because I knew too much about the actual people to enjoy the portrayal.
Christians are supposed to examine ourselves to prove ourselves whether we are in the faith. (2 Corinthians 13:5)
There is only one Gospel by which we must examine ourselves to prove whether we are Christians. The Apostle Paul says anyone, even an angel from heaven, who preaches any other gospel is to be accursed. (Galatians 1: 8,9) So, it won't matter a whole lot in the final Judgment if we were considered Christians according to anything or anyone else, if we aren't judged to be Christians by the Word.
Satan is such a smooth deceiver. If he was able to deceive Eve, who had walked and talked with God in the Garden of Eden, how easily can he deceive those who don't bother to study and understand His Word? I'm sad for this girl.
