Good morning!
A devastating ecological disaster is overtaking the Gulf Coast area. Some criticism is being aimed at the O administration for its slow response, but ultimately it'll be the oil and energy industry, and us, the consumers, which will bear the weight of government control to come, I fear.
Rahm Emmanuel's rule to never waste a good crisis comes to mind once again.
Great game...and Red Sox lost thier series against B’more.
I did a lot of outside work today.
Makes you feel good, huh?
Me too. My Beanie isn’t feeling too good. She’s off her feed. I’ll take her to the Vet tomorrow if she won’t eat her dinner or breakfast. She loves to eat, anything, and loves peanut butter cracker sandwiches, she wouldn’t even sniff it.
Cano is doing great!
Poor baby.
Poor Beanie...Hope she feels better soon
Yes, I really, really thrive in the warm weather and sun.
I sweating something aweful but I feel good that I got some done.
Yesterday your May Day bouquet on the door and today the thumb twirling - how many memories you brought to my mind.
We (about 100 years ago) used to go into the woods and pick bunches of Trillions, put them in paper “vases”, hang them on the doors of all the “old” women in the neighborhood, ring their doorbells and run and hide so they wouldn’t know who had put the flowers on their doors.
Such fun and so many years of memories.
My Dad used to twirl his thumbs that way any time he was sitting down - not out of boredom, it was just a bad habit.
Thanks for the memories.
I hung May baskets in the ‘60s. It was a bit of a challenge because I lived across the street from the Auburn campus and there was a dearth of “old ladies” in the neighborhood. I managed to find one or two though.
It sure has been powerful wet here lately, hasn’t it?
Note to self: you didn’t spend enough time in church or in reading the Word today if just one man can make you that angry or hate so much.
I am glad I am forgiven. I need it.
Loved the photos Bitwhacker. thanks!
Got an email just now about HS reunion: 2012! Guess it's not too early to start planning, but...
Also heard from a cousin about another cousin who was invited to the recent Memorial service in Poland as one of his very good friends, a member of the Polish government, was killed on that plane. He had befriended the man years ago when they met in Washington, and kept up the relationship til its sad ending....
I'll probably learn more at the reunion this summer. So that's my email report.
Now for the new thread....
Thank you lysie and Neets, she’s drunk some water, and I put her very favorite, tuna fish in her bowl tonight and she just looked at it. She’s 14 and we think she got into something, she is an outdoor dog, even though she’s spent most of her life in the living room, but the last couple of days she won’t come inside.
My uncle did that too, when he didn’t think something was right and twiddled until he figured it out.
