April 22 -- Courage went for his blood test today. He has gained 20 pounds since his 4/7 rescue! He is upright and has found his voice! This is one talkative dog--he has a lot to say! He is still bony but not as frail and he definitely has more stamina! Hurray!
April 24 -- It's official: Courage's foster mommy wants to adopt him once all of the legalities have concluded! She can't imagine living without him! Courage is now learning what toys are! His muscles are continuing to improve!
April 28--Courage continues to improve and is eating kibble! He gets fed 4 cups x 3 feedings per day. He is off of the special supplements so that we can see how his organs are functioning on their own. Cross your paws as we wait for his next blood test results!

Thank you for the update. So glad to see that he is doing much better. What a beautiful dog.
I said this already on a previous post about Courage, but I will say it again. The woman that did this to him needs to be forced to eat dirt and dog poop. If I remember correctly, this mutant works at a Vet Hops. and is on a paid leave ‘cause she has children.

He still doesn’t look well but a whole lot better than those first photos....looks like he was eating his own fur. I don’t know much about dogs but this poor creature should have been noticed before he went that far down...:(
He’s beautiful...that face and those eyes just melt the heart.
I hope the people who abused him don’t have children. One can only imagine how they would treat children.

I just hope she gets the punishment she deserves.
I saw a recent article where a man left two Labs in his Kennel in his backyard without food or water in the winter and they both died of hunger, thirst and exposure, the man was convicted of two counts of felony and got 30 DAYS in jail and some community service.
I just noticed, after you pointed it out — I can spell, my fingers just do stupid things, slapping wrist.

I’m just sensitive since I’m sick of seeing people write “sheppard” and “shepard” and an occasional “sheperd”!
Uh, the woman did have a toddler. It’s a shame. Partly because it makes me wonder if something happened that she had to choose the child over the dog. But maybe not, since the authorities are apparently pressing charges.
