GONZALES, La., - A Louisiana woman discovered a python in her car that dealership employees said belonged to a couple that nearly purchased the vehicle.
Marquita Lawrence said she was driving in the Toyota Camry she had recently purchased from Hollingsworth Richards Used Cars in Gonzales when she saw a ball python crawl out from under the passenger seat to investigate her fried chicken, WAFB-TV, Baton Rouge, La., reported Wednesday.
"I threw it in park and hauled tail and I did not look back. I'm running across the highway screaming, 'There's a snake in my car, there's a snake in my car!'" Lawrence said.
Managers at the dealership said the snake belonged to a couple who had tried to purchase the car about a month before Lawrence. They said the couple drove the car around for a few weeks but never closed on the sale. The snake was reported missing shortly after they returned the car to the lot.
The snake was captured by animal control and returned to its owners.
Whole scenario reminded me a little of Wanda Sykes’ infamous “Towyard” crank call....
Nope....on the lookout for it’s burrow.
If you'd gone to enough dealers you'd never have had to buy a truck. And you could have wangled something better for the Camaro the next dealer took. And so on.

maybe someone should attach a link to this and the article from Sunday on how to buy a used car. I don’t believe there was any reference in the article about buying cars occupied by snakes!

I was replying to someone that wants to make keeping snakes illegal. How is that not a restriction on my God given rights?

So, you don’t believe the stuff the media tells you about politics and global warming, but think they are telling the truth about the snake problem in Florida? Lol...
Don’t believe what the media tells you. Most of the snakes North of Orlando died last winter. Scientist were studing 3 groups of radio tagged large pythons and during the cold snap, 2 of the groups in northern FL are all dead and over 50% of the snakes by Orlando are dead. These snakes can not live in our climate for very long.
Except for in the southern half of FL. The media “says” there are 100s of thousands of nonnative snakes out there. I have read reports from snake hunters down there and they say there may be 1000s. If someone put a $50 bounty per head, they would be gone in short order.

So was it a sale? Buy a car, get a snake.
AND you still have not provided anything to support that you have a “right” to own nonnative snakes or any animal. Do you believe health care is a right?
