GONZALES, La., - A Louisiana woman discovered a python in her car that dealership employees said belonged to a couple that nearly purchased the vehicle.
Marquita Lawrence said she was driving in the Toyota Camry she had recently purchased from Hollingsworth Richards Used Cars in Gonzales when she saw a ball python crawl out from under the passenger seat to investigate her fried chicken, WAFB-TV, Baton Rouge, La., reported Wednesday.
"I threw it in park and hauled tail and I did not look back. I'm running across the highway screaming, 'There's a snake in my car, there's a snake in my car!'" Lawrence said.
Managers at the dealership said the snake belonged to a couple who had tried to purchase the car about a month before Lawrence. They said the couple drove the car around for a few weeks but never closed on the sale. The snake was reported missing shortly after they returned the car to the lot.
The snake was captured by animal control and returned to its owners.
I had a two-legged snake in my car once.....
Did he go for your fried chicken?
The python was returned to the owners? Eh! It should be illegal to own these foreign, excuse me, exotic creatures.
it would be cool had she bought a Mustang Cobra.
That’s not a ball python, that looks more like a reticulated python. (Ball pythons are real pussycats.)
No...but he went after the cookies.......and when my Schnauzer did a ‘package check’ ....that was the end of that.....
Oh please. I understand you do not like snakes. But think about what you are saying - you are on a conservative site talking about taking away my rights to own snakes? Let’s not be hypocritical....
Ball pythons are almost harmless, unless you are a mouse or small rat.
There is a family resemblance....must be his brother.....
This part I can't believe.

Well, that’s obviously not a BALL snake...
It can happen...they tried for 2 weeks to finance a new truck for my husband when he was younger because he had no credit. We drove around in it for the whole time and then when they said they couldn’t finance it, they found out that their auto salvage people had picked up our old car by accident. After much arguing and us threatening to call the media because they were trying to screw us out of an equivalent vehicle, we ended up with a really nice 1970 Camaro. But, we drove the truck in the meantime, so we had it about 3 weeks. We went to another dealer and was able to buy a truck shortly thereafter.
I took a snake to work one day (I live in the hill country)...I didn’t realize he was under my hood. He crawled out and up the windshield after I parked in the parking lot. None of the ladies in the building would park close to my vehicle after that, LOL!
