I'll keep trying to refute that theory with Patron.

bought a bottle of agave nectar at Target. put a little in hot water and add some cinnamon. Doesn’t taste that good by itself. It’s not supposed to raise your blood sugar, like fructose and table sugar do.

I’ve used agave as a sweetener - it is natural, and doesn’t raise blood sugar. It’s less bitter than stevia too.

It’s not supposed to raise your blood sugar, like fructose and table sugar do.

Fructose is a simple 6 carbon sugar that doesn't raise your blood glucose. Table sugar, i.e. sucrose, is half fructose and half glucose after it is split. High Fructose Corn Syrup is usually one of two blends of fructose and glucose, HFCS-55 for beverages and HFCS-42 for processed foods. At least avoid HFCS-55 if possible. Excess fructose fosters triglyceride synthesis and I'm seeing more info that it's bad for your liver, IMHO, and your brain only works on glucose.

The fructans had a stronger effect when I licked the salt before the shot, then bit the lime after, and did it again 6 times. Or maybe 8, not sure.

I think that was a fructans, anyway. Actually I don’t remember very much.

Aloe, which is very similar to the Agave, has been successfully used to cure Type II diabetes for over 20 years, so this should be no surprise I guess.

“I’ve used agave as a sweetener - it is natural, and doesn’t raise blood sugar.”

.
I’ve used it too, and it is sweeter than cane sugar, so very little is needed.

.
“It’s less bitter than stevia too.”

If your stevis is bitter, you’re using too much!

Less is the way to go with stevia; use just enough to get the effect.

Besides drinking, Tequilla is good for something else:

It stops the sting from wasp bites, and the itch from mosquito bites.

I think you’re right about the Stevia - I also think the brand can make a difference — some seem more bitter than others.

i haven’t used it yet for anything other than a hot cinnamon/water tea. I’m going to try it with the lemon and tea. :)
