FAA halts plane towing Tiger Woods taunts

An airplane that towed banners taunting Tiger Woods about his sex scandal during the Masters has been ordered to stop until it undergoes minor repairs.

Kathleen Bergen, an Atlanta-based spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration, said Friday that FAA flight safety inspectors issued the order after meeting with the plane's pilot.

The single-engine Cessna made two flights near Augusta National as Woods played Thursday in the first round of the Masters, close enough that the banners could be read from the course.

The PGA hierarchy and the rest of the slobbering idiots can all rot in hell as far as I am concerned.

The fact that Steroid Boy is there with his slimy, self-important presence is enough to disturb anyone with a sense of ethics.

I get pretty sick of hearing the analysis praising him over and over...like there are no other great golfers. He's a good golfer...yes. He's also a slob...and should have been banned for life.

That's the way I truly feel. It's his private life is not an excuse for "no punishment".

And if Tiger was a white guy in this profession....Well, I guess that's the point...The white guys have been exemplary. There is a special black man's justice for sports. Disgusting.

On a PGA-related note....

Tiger Woods is not the only swinger in the club

Note to the tour's sponsors: Hold on to your wallets....

He’s a great golfer and has made tons of money not only for himself but many others including the PGA but he’s a schmuck.

I believe any other golfer who did the same thing on the scale he did and got caught by his wife would lose her as well as his reputation and endorsers and rightfully so.

Other players and the media have been silent about his temper on the course. Swearing, temper tantrums and throwing clubs is not the picture of a gentleman but was overlooked because of the money he brought to the tour.

I thought he may have changed that on the course but it’s been reported already by the MSM that he’s had several slips. The guy is not going to change his actions on the course if he’s already fallen back into the same groove and I doubt he’ll change his womanizing.

If he doesn’t change his actions on the course he should be dumped, IMO. It’s not just adults in the huge crowds on the course watching these guys play. And if I’d been the guy that the club hit he’d thrown into the crowd awhile back he’d have gotten it back in two pieces as would any other player who pulled that stunt.

I agree, there has to be others screwing around but it doesn’t make it right.

I’ve followed golf for years up until 5 or 6 years ago. Most of the great players were gentlemen on the course and if they were cheating on their wives kept it awful quiet. John Daly was the bad boy for a long time and the PGA wasn’t happy with him.

Woods has other problems besides the womanizing. He and the media and his endorsers have made him out to be something he isn’t and I believe that’s why people have come down hard on him. I hope he’ll change but have doubts.

Must be a low against harassing pilots here...
Just how does this become a law enforcement issue?

It’s pretty evident to me someone with pull complained to an FAA person, probably a fairly high up one and they did an inspection.

It shouldn’t have been an issue, IMO.

I’m sure you’re right! It could not have been against any law that I can imagine - but would be against protocol, and certainly against Tiger’s image. I expect, like you, that they put an end to that strictly for Tiger (asshat that he is).
