The news "out there" appears to be increasingly "bad" in many ways.
There is much "good news" also - but it's hard to see among all the "bad" headlines and stories.
This song is a Healing Song - for all who are worried, sad, depressed, anxious, afraid, hurting, broken, sick, sorrowing, confused, burdened down by cares of our lives and the lives of others and the life of our nation and the world!
Please listen to all the words - and let this song soak into us deeply...and we "soak" in that River Kim Hopper sings about.
The River is there for ALL of us.
He'll Wash Us Clean and He'll Make us New!
God bless and keep all!
Thanks. A great blessing to start the day.
You are both very welcome.
And, bless somebody else by pinging them to this thread, would you?
We ALL need to jump into that river to wash away all our burdens, our worries, or heavy loads.
Good morning, and thank you!
Secret national anthem of the Left:
Im a goin to stay where you sleep all day
Where they hung the jerk that invented work
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
Ill see you all this coming fall in the Big Rock Candy Mountains

Secret anthem of the Left:
Big Rock Candy Mountain
http://www.bluegrasslyrics.com/all_song.cfm-recordID=s29253.htm
One evening as the sun went down and the jungle fire was burning
Down the track came a hobo hiking and he said boys I’m not turning
I’m headin for a land that’s far away beside the crystal fountains
So come with me we’ll go and see the Big Rock Candy Mountains
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains there’s a land that’s fair and bright
Where the handouts grow on bushes and you sleep out every night
Where the boxcars are all empty and the sun shines every day
On the birds and the bees and the cigarette trees
Where the lemonade springs where the bluebird sings
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains all the cops have wooden legs
And the bulldogs all have rubber teeth and the hens lay soft boiled eggs
The farmer’s trees are full of fruit and the barns are full of hay
Oh, I’m bound to go where there ain’t no snow
Where the rain don’t fall and the wind don’t blow
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains you never change your socks
And the little streams of alcohol come a-trickling down the rocks
The brakemen have to tip their hats and the railroad bulls are blind
There’s a lake of stew and of whiskey too
You can paddle all around ‘em in a big canoe
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains the jails are made of tin
And you can walk right out again as soon as you are in
There ain’t no short handled shovels, no axes saws or picks
I’m a goin to stay where you sleep all day
Where they hung the jerk that invented work
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
I’ll see you all this coming fall in the Big Rock Candy Mountains
ENCOURAGEMENT PING TO THE OP OF THIS THREAD.

THANKS to Freedom’sWorthIt!
(Not) sorry for using Logan’s Ping List................
THANKS, Freedom’sWorthIt!!!!
I just got a chance to listen to the whole song (with 9 of us using the computer, 7 minutes is a long time ;-). Wonderful singing, and I also enjoyed the exhortation from the gentleman at the beginning. It reminded me of some of the Latin American Christian performers I enjoy. The rest of my family doesn’t speak Spanish, so they don’t understand why I’ll be standing at the sink with my hands raised saying, Amen, Amen, vale!
I could be related to the performers: my grandmother was a Hopper, from northeast Missouri.
Well Frank certainly brightened up my day. Thanks for that.
You’re welcome. Frank is the Finest Available Baby!
BTTT
Oh - wow!!! Yes, none of us have time today to give to much of anything but what our “bundle” requires....LOL.
Glad you enjoyed the intro words also (not sure if that is Kim Hopper’s brother or spouse).
Wouldn’t that be neat if you were related to the singer!
OH yes, I know about lifting those hands at assorted moments...LOLOL!
Hi, there!!! So glad you found this thread, this song, and are pinging others!!! (People LISTEN to BG when they get your ping!!)
Want it to bless as many people as possible.
We all need our loads lifted and we all need to jump into that river of God’s love!
:-)
Will do! Hugs back to you!
