Perfect description. HCj is really causing some nerves. Sadly, the talent pool is quite shallow for this season.
To: floriduh voter
HCJ has more experience making a slow tempo work - and he did the arrangements

Didn’t Kara at some point say she liked someone’s vibrato??? I thought it was casey
To: floriduh voter
Do you think some of the contestants may be thinking...”I am sick of this crap, vote me OFF the island, PLEASE!”??? (just a thought)
To: CASchack
Biggest problem all season
To: retrokitten
This whole evening could be a disaster for the big band sound.

>>I cant imagine how bad Harry Connick must feel<<
Harry (or “Hank” or “Junior” as us best friends call him) seems like a very cool guy. Someone you could have a beer or 6 with and probably start swapping stories in 10 minutes and LAOAO in 11.

Casey James
Casey in rehearsal with Connick: "I'm so frickin' nervous!"
Connick: "I think he's gonna have a blast."
His song is "Blue Skies". Starts off a bit flat and never really recovers. The whole thing is wobbly.
Randy: Yo, yo, yo. This was like for me your worst performance, dude. Pitchy all the way through. Out of your element. Knew it would be tough for you. Didn't work!
Ellen: I thought it was a bad idea to have the piano on stage (another laugh) The whole thing is about being smooth and having swagger, but that was very stiff. Didn't feel effortless. I have to agree with Randy.
Kara: Took you a long time to relax. YOu kind of sound like a lamb (or a goat) work on your vibrato. Really out of control.
Simon: Good news--band was great. Bad news--you weren't that great. Came across as uncomfortable.
Connick: It's hard to hear up here. You killed it two hours ago (in rehearsals) but that won't help you now. (chuckles)

I hear that, baby. Loud and clear!
To: retrokitten
It was better than listening to Casey.

I don’t like it when Ellen says “stiff”.

Remember record albums? If you put a 45 on 33 it would sound like Casey just did. People are not created to sing slow like Aaron and Casey have. Now if one of them picks up the tempo, IMO, the show picked that person to do better than the rest. Believe me, this show knows how to make people sound worse, not better. I won't be watching next year if the coaches don't do a better job, not the mentors, the other vocal coaches know the tricks of the trade and they aren't sharing them w/the contestants. Watch one sing faster. That person was SELECTED to get a perfect tempo and they will float along which is what Frank music is supposed to do.
They sabotaged Aaron and Casey.

How hilarious is that? Silence of the Lambs is in the audience AFTER Casey sings like a goat. LOL

Listening to the dishwasher is better then listening to Casey. ;-)
To: freedumb2003
He comes across that way in concert too-he just chats with the audience like they’re old friends. Very cool guy.
