Yeah she went to some back-alley cosmetic surgeon who was practicing without a license. I think she was part of class-action suit against him.

Siobhan was out in Siobhan land again. While she entertains me the most out of any of this lot, she'll have a hard time winning the competition if she continues to be all over the place.

I still believe Siobhan is the most marketable of all remaining. She has a great look and voice and with professional training (which she will get) could be a huge star. She has natural born talent. She is a flake (or is in Siobhan land, as you put it)...but so are 99.9% of talented artists. I believe she has Carrie Underwood potential with the right handling. Whether she wins or not really doesn't matter...she will be given a recording contract without a doubt.

Crystal is very good also, but probably fits into the Rock or Blues genre... doesn't have the "look" for the lucrative POP market, IMHO.

Lee is pretty good and reminds me a little of David Cook without the personality. He doesn't, however, have the vocal range or stage presence of David Cook.

Just noticed this on my newsreader, don't know if it has been mentioned yet.

Looks like the new Tonight Show band leader is going to be Rickey Minor, who will be leaving Idol at the end of the season.

The words and swagger should indicate that the singer is disgusted with himself, and is just singing his disgust to his dog. It’s a song of self-recrimination and self-loathing. If you can’t put the false bravado and self awareness into the song, you’re missing the point.

I disagree with your assessment of "Hound Dog."

In its original Leiber & Stoller form, it was performed by a woman (Big Mama Thornton).

Some of the lyrics were changed before Elvis recorded it, which totally ruined the intent and feeling of the song.

"You ain't nothing but a Hound Dog, Snooping 'round my door," was changed to "You ain't nothing but a Hound Dog, Crying all the time,"

"You can wag your tail, but I ain't gonna feed you no more" was changed to "You ain't never caught a rabbit, and you ain't no friend of mine."

I absolutely HATE the "redone" Elvis version.

I love the Elvis version and I think I remember an argument about the lyric change before. I did not realize that Big Mama Thornton was the original singer, I’ll have to look for a audio track of that somewhere.

But even in the original lyrics, she is singing to a man, not a dog. Without the understanding of the subtext of the song, it would be hard to put the right emotion into it.

I read somewhere, that Priscillas botched face was a result of some bogus Botox crap she got in Mexico? As I recall....and she is (or was) going to htry and have some reconstructive surgery done to repair the damage of the “taco-botox”.

Just watched the show, and skimmed the thread....a few observations...

1. I actually thought that Glambert resembled DeGeneris..same spikey hair..can we do a side by side?

2. Big Mike looks more and more like Mike Tyson..

3. Siobhan needs to get back on track...find her confidence, and her comfort zone..needs a BIG song that she can screech successfully..my suggestion .."Gloria".(the Laura Branagan version) or anything by Bonnie Tyler...( she would just rock-out "Total Eclipse of the Heart"

I’ve always looked forward to this show, but sadly, for the first time, I’m not even interested in seeing who wins.

thats how I felt the season Fantasia won

I think Siobhan gave the correct answer to the judges regarding what type of singer she is. To me she has more range than any of the other contestants, and is falling into the inconsistency of the judges feedback.

e.g. Kara, you scream - I liked the second part of the song.

Well Kara, the scream , as you view it, occurred in that part, so what is it???

Seems like her performance from two weeks ago has damaged her confidence. Needs to turn it around quick.

Siobhan is either taking the wrong advice or being idioticly stubborn about what she thinks she can sing that sounds good. Her low register is horrible, but week after week she uses it. It kills her real ability! She is best when just belting it out with her raw voice and not screaming. I fear she has no idea who she is either as a singer or artist right now.

Siobhan, if you're trying to be different just to be original it's not working because your singing/voice performances are sucking major daddy hippie ass! Just sing girl!
