SEATTLE -- The mother of a Ballard High School student is fuming after the health center on campus helped facilitate her daughter's abortion during school hours.
The mother, whom KOMO News has chosen to identify only as "Jill," says the clinic kept the information "confidential."

Holy mackerel. Is it any wonder that home schooling has become an option for many parents?
But yet it is still ridiculous on the mom’s part to sign that form knowing they can dish out birth control.
More than disgusted by the school and the parent.
who is the father and why was this not criminally reported?
sexual deliquency of a minor is still a crime.
Yeah i am thinking about homeschooling in a couple of years..
They have the same law here in CA if you are over 13 you can get a abortion without parental notification...
We have tried to repeal it twice but failed ,libs use the argument that it is the first step towards banning abortions, then Sen Boxer chimes in,”yes they want us to go back to back alley abortions “..
Wow. Over 13? That’s just unbelievable.
It's pretty much true that in this state your children are treated as having the rights of adults at about age 13 or so.
I just put my 15 yo daughter into a public school after homeschooling her until now. They are doing a wonderful job with her!

Hey, that's not mindless! I did Tangrams with my Junior Girl Scout troop last year, and they almost died of frustration!
Irrelevant to teaching 9th grade math, of course: they should be learning Geometry or Algebra II!
This is a pro choice mother ...she gets what she asks for..a dead grandchild
Some details that I heard (sorry if any of this is repeated):
They told her that if she didn't tell her parents the abortion was free.
The girl has been to the Er 4 times with a racing heart (sounded like panic attacks to me).
The mom says she has a related preexisting condition that should have required additional care after the fact.
BTW the mom is pro-choice and doesn't have a problem with abortion, but is angry with how this was done.
the daughter is pro-life and is very confused right now.
Very sad. I am glad the mom is getting this out there.
I see you are in south dakota, i guess it’s a different world there and is more Americana than many other states. It’s also the same state where they wanted to make abortion illegal only to have the National RTL work against the pro-life senator who wanted the anti-abortion bill passed.
Folks, this is Ballard, which is in Seattle, which is in the Soviet of Washington.
Fremont, the section of town just abutting Ballard, has a massive statue of Karl Marx in it.
This is the most liberal place, in the most liberal state in the US.
Mark my words: Patty Murray wins.
I dont understand why she is upset.
This is a right she signed away when she enrolled her children in government schools.
She should be beaming that they took care of her child for her just the way they said they would.
Stupid people have their children in government school.
The “better schools’ just hide it better.
What difference does that make?
I hope she can sue the life out of this school adminstration to pay for the mental health counseling her daughter and family will need, perhaps for years
There is nothing to sue over, they did nothing wrong. This is legal in all states IIRC.
Abortion never needs parental consent. Schools and school based health centers abort at will.
Friend of mine had twin babies aborted at six months through a school based health center.
