I labeled this a vanity as I'm not sure what else to do with it. As vanities go, I'm sure this is going to be about on par for "lameness".
I'm the head tech nerd for a school district. As such I receive a ton of vendor cold calls and snail mail solicitations. Most are education related and I can normally parse through them pretty quickly.
Today I got one that I feel really crosses a line for me from a personal ethics standpoint.
Credo Mobile sent me a smelly little piece of SPAM emblazoned with "Is your cell phone supporting right-wing causes?" across the front of the envelope. Inside is the usual "hate screed" against anything remotely conservative. Including a flier with Dick Cheney and Rush Limbaugh's faces on it.
Inside it has a third stinky leaflet that includes causes they support. Listed are the ACLU, Democracy Now!, Human Rights Watch, and Planned Parenthood.
"Why do I keep referring to smell", you might ask... It proudly states right on the paper that is it 100% recycled and uses a soy based ink. It smells like someone left a fish wrapped in a old sweat sock in the box with the envelopes.
Other than burning the olfactorally offensive detritus, should I take any other action on this?
It smells like the people who sent(scent) it.
There could be a reason they bill themselves as "America's only progressive phone company."
I’ve never heard of Credo Mobile.
I googled it. I wiki’d it.

What I found: Idiot San Francisco leftards.
‘Nuff said.
It is good sales.
Most school districts are liberal, so they are trying to appeal to that audience emotionally to overcome price objections.
My company sells products into many markets. When we sell into the architectural market, we talk about green buildings, recycled content, sustainability, etc.....all the buzzwords that get the customer excited.
I suggest you discard the letter.
Interesting name - Credo Mobile. It immediately brought to my mind the “Credit Mobilier” scandal of 1872.

Why anyone would name a company which instantly brings to mind such associations is beyond my comprehension.
LOL - reminds me of the Verizon and AT&T map commercials - CREDO - no real map at all.
LOL
See if it will jam your paper shredder.....
I’d inform them in no uncertain terms that I’m not interested in any more solicitations from them. And I’d let them know why. If there’s a “return postage paid” envelope included, tape it to a brick and send it back.
But they’ll probably be out of business before it can get there.
Just as an FYI for those who may not know it already, Progressive Insurance embraces a similar ideology. Go to GEICO instead.
Progressive’s HQ used to be almost literally in my backyard.
I know, Liberals wrote the book on cognitive dissonance.
I would discard it, but I don't want one of the teachers around here seeing it in a trash can. Last thing I want to do is have to resign my position over being ORDERED to pursue this companies offer.
From a service/price point, their offer isn't that good.
Off the map. Map of Utopiaville. Maybe using a Tom-tom with a bad GPS circuit...
Mailer was bulk postage paid. I'm just going to toss it in with the cardboard recycling.
Fill out whatever they sent you with bogus information and mail it back.
You could even tell them how appalled you are that they killed trees by sending you junk mail.
A friend used to return everything he could fit in the postage-paid envelope. They have to pay to receive the mail (the heavier the more expensive), and then someone has to sort thru it. Costs them resources.
I dropped it in the cardboard recycling bin in the next room. I can still smell it in my office...
It sucks to be a, for instance, Matthews or Olberman, who built their tiny little markets on hating Republicans. But, it must really suck, big time, to a business whose only “value proposition” is...we hate Conservatives.
Doesn’t matter, really, as they all suffer from the “big belt buckle, little penis” syndrome.
