My father remembers three school friends from back during the 1930s who when walking home from school in Los Angeles, stood on a bridge and urinated onto electric streetcars. They were accidenatlly electrocuted - all three boys died.
I don’t think it’s a myth.

I never peed on our fences, but can say that when they came out with the weed chopper fences in the 50s, it was no fun to get pushed on one.
I have heard of town kids getting dared to pee on them but never seen it.makes parts of me shrivel up just thinking about it.

We had an ice storm several years ago and 2 teenage boys were walking near a power line. A tree had fallen on the line and it was sparking and burning. One boy grabbed it to push it away from the power line. He lost both arms. ;0(

I was shocked by an electric fence in the same way when I was a young lad on my grandfather’s farm. I couldn’t even imagine the shock from a downed power line.....

yeah..posting a comment without reading the article is not a very wise practice...my 18 year old daughter lost her good friend to an accidental electrocution..the family was devastated..but the local radio station had a field day with his death..horrific.
