What a relief! I’ll finally get my first good night’s sheep after 39-years.

Geffen is openly gay now. I don’t know if he was then.

The catty lyrics were believed to be aimed at an ex-boyfriend such as MICK JAGGER, CAT STEVENS, KRIS KRISTOFFERSON or WARREN BEATTY.

Nova Scotia' airport must've been pretty busy with celebrity Lear Jets up there to watch the total eclipse of the sun.

Joni Mitchell has loads more talent. Good call on Geffen’s part.

The lyrics certainly never led me to think the song was about a male homosexual. I don’t buy her story, not that it matters much one way or the other.

“And all the girls dreamed that they’d be your partner
They’d be your partner, and...

“You had me several years ago when I was still quite naive
......

“Well you’re where you should be all the time
And when you’re not you’re with
Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend
Wife of a close friend, and...”

Did Geffen actually go to Saratoga? I mean, hardly anyone except us horse nuts go to Saratoga, so that for me pins it right there.

Never mind that Geffen wasn’t a famous guy then.

The Rebel Angels

Snip: Her friendships with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Bill and Hillary Clinton, William and Rose Styron, and Mike Nichols and Diane Sawyer—all members of her natural social milieu—thrust her well beyond the rock world she’d once conquered and continued to inhabit.
