The Central Jakarta administration will move the controversial "Little Barry" statue from its current location at Taman Menteng in Central Jakarta to state elementary school SDN 01 Menteng next week, an official says.
"We are currently discussing with officials from the school and its alumni association," city spokesman Cucu Ahmad Kurnia told reporters Friday. "We hope the move will happen next week."
US President Barack Obama attended the elementary school for almost two years when he spent part of his childhood in Jakarta.
Erected by the Jakarta-based Friends of Obama Foundation in December last year, the statue, which resembles Obama as a boy, recently sparked wide public criticism for insulting the nation's pride.
Just a few days after the Central Jakarta municipality unveiled the statue at Menteng Park, experts and a group of Facebook users demanded it be dismantled.
On Wednesday, the Central Jakarta District Court held a hearing to try a class action lawsuit by five plaintiffs representing 50,000 members of the "Take down the Barack Obama statue from Menteng Park" group on Facebook.
The five plaintiffs - Heru Nugroho, Protus Tanuhandaru, Daniel Rudi Haryanto, Andes Soesman and FX Agung Bimo Sutedjo - filed the suit against Jakarta governor, Central Jakarta mayor and the Jakarta Parks and Cemeteries Agency, saying the statue didn't deserve a place at the park and should be immediately removed.
Although appreciating the administration's plan to remove the statue, Heru said the group would go ahead with its lawsuit.
"We will only withdraw the lawsuit if the city administration publicly apologizes for its one-sided decision to permit the statue," he told The Jakarta Post.
Hawaiian-born Obama moved to Indonesia at the age of six to live with his mother, Ann Dunham, and Indonesian stepfather Lolo Soetoro.
Obama attended third grade at the school in 1968. He returned to Hawaii at the age of 10 to live with his maternal grandparents.
Amazingly, we suddenly learn that BHO's alleged bio dad was short - but maybe it is entirely possible for a child to take after his grandfather, primarily . . . in the same way that BHO has Stanley Dunham's ears, chin, forehead, general build, perhaps he also was tall?

I believe that there is NO way that the Dems will run BHO in 2012, he doesn't stand a chance of winning reelection.
I'm glad to learn that there are professional lawyers working in silence on this case, but I am shocked that NO group of American lawyers saw fit to work on this years ago, when it first became apparent that the Libbies were running an ineligible candidate. Freeper 'madashe$$' mentioned that he has contacts from back he owned a software company which many intel agencies bought stuff from, and he said that his old contacts told him that after running all over the globe for many months, suddenly all the Israeli agents which were unleashed to learn the truth on BHO have all suddenly returned home.
So in high liklihood there are other adults, elsewhere, who also know the truth.

You know that the GRANDMOTHER, i.e., Ann’s mother was known to all as either “Toot” or “Toots” — even Michelle Obama once referred to her with this nickname, and she did NOT mean Stanley Ann, her late mother in law.
There are so many hundreds of threads about the identity of BHO's TRUE father, that I've never seen that photograph before -- but that does not mean that I haven't read daily for well over a decade.... like many other freepers who never registered to post for many, many, many years.

Just trying to help everyone keep up. Occasionally, there are new freepers on the Ping List, and they (and the entire list) are pinged to material other freepers read/saw two years ago. For instance, I've posted the link to the 0bama's Mama's nude photos several times.

g) a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years, at least two of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years...
(1986—Subsec. (g). Pub. L. 99–653 substituted “five years, at least two” for “ten years, at least five”.)
Since Maya was born in 1970, well before 1986, the 10/5 rule applied to her situation. But by that time, Stanley Ann satisfied those conditions, although she did not when BO was born (which only matters, for citizenship at birth, if he was born outside the US).

I kept copies of the newspaper announcements of my sons’ births.
Betcha at least some of the other families listed with the Obama announcement saved originals, too. If, of course, it’s legit.
I think it probably is, but that the report of the birth was from family to the Dept. to Vital Stats, which included private as well as hospital births in the weekly list sent to the newspapers. Which proves nothing, other than Stanley Ann gave birth to a son in the summer of 1961.
In 1961, families went to great lengths to cover for an out-of-wedlock pregnancy. I’m assuming that most folks here are younger than I am. I lived in those more modest times. Even the most socially liberal would not have risked the kind of scandal that Stanley Ann Dunham was posing for her family.
The announcement gives no hint as to the legitimacy of the marriage, whether Barak Sr. was the true father, or place of birth, and it is certainly no proof that Ann and the baby were actually living at the purported address. Knowing what we now know, it fairly reeks of Granny putting a pretty face on a difficult situation.
Just my two cents. But I would like to see the originals on newspulp of those announcements.
I think maybe Pops ( Stanley Dunham)is the father by an unknown black lady.
