Fat Man and Geoffery Goes to Leister Square are the 2 that immediately come to mind when I think of Tull.

I agree. Stand Up is my favorite.
A friend of mine is a mastering engineer in LA who was scheduled to re-master Aqualung. He spent close to a year searching for the Original Master Studio tapes but to no avail. Finally, he receives a call about 3am - it was Ian Anderson saying he found the masters in his garage. Amazingly the tapes were in good condition except for a small section ~ 1 minute into the title track where the tape had been stretched. A simple splice from a copy solved the problem. Listening to the "stretched" section is kinda funny - like Ian's voice is really S-U-P-E-R S-L-O-W.
Anyway, it was funny when my friend told the background story.

What remaster is this? I assume it was all-analogue vinyl, nobody would bother with the original tapes for a CD>
The DCC version by Steve uses the original analog masters for the highest quality sound and does NOT use compression or noise reduction - both harm the sound quality.

Steve's current work can be found on Audio Fidelity & Analog Productions labels including the latter's extensive remastering of classic jazz albums from the 50's & 60's using the Original master analog tapes. Simply amazing what Steve can do - "Breath of Life" he describes his masytering methods. Good guy, too.

I am really digging playing Aqualung and Hymn 43 on my Rock Band. Gotta get me a mic stand so I can sing as well when I’m playing. My all time favorites, though, are Baker Street Muse and No Lullaby followed closely by Thick as a Brick (the whole thing, not the shortened versions)

I saw Tull in 1970 & 1972.
About 4 years ago I took my youngest son to see them. They played as well as ever, and we thoroughly enjoyed the show (he was already very familiar with them through his “home-schooled” music education).
I may catch them again this round. Worth every penny, imho.
