Internet chatter had led to speculation that it might be an urban myth -- nothing more than clever digital trickery spreading via the Web.
But our friend Bob Collins at Minnesota Public Radio assures us he's seen it with his own eyes:
There is a billboard along I-35 near Wyoming, Minn., with a huge photo of former president George W. Bush and this question: "Miss Me Yet?"
Now, the push is on to find out who paid to have it put up.
Bob says there's no readily apparent claim of ownership on the billboard, so he's heading back to the scene to see if he can find out who's behind the message. He's also got some local politicos looking into it. He'll keep us posted.
At first glance, it would seem to be from some person or group who isn't thrilled by President Barack Obama's performance so far -- unless it's a more ironic message from those who didn't think too much of Bush and want to remind voters about him.
Anyone out there know anything about where it came from? Tell us and we'll pass the word to Bob. As he says, we could do a little crowdsourcing.
I see a President on a pile of rubble with a bullhorn...some just forget.
With McLame the spending would be a lot less, We’d be killing the enemy in a place better suited for our side rather than theirs. We’d be treating the enemy like an enemy rather than American citizens. That said I’m very much looking forward to voting against McCain in the primary.
Exactly. They want to find out who to go after and harass them into removing it
Wow.
You have a very good point but I always felt safe when Bush was president.
Obozo compared to Bush is like apple and oranges... guess who’s not the constitionalist? you betcha it’s obozo
I hope when Sarah Palin moves into the Oval Office in Jan 2013 she burns the chair and gets a new desk and all new furniture. No telling what obama has done in there, but it is obvious he doesn’t respect the office. Come to think of it, it is obvious he doesn’t respect the American person.
Well, she can at least take the Afro-sheen cover off the top of the desk chair.

That's my take too.
All white guys groveling at the ******’* feet.
it survived Clinton and Monica.
Amen! W is a classy, decent, genuine man of integrity.
Yeah, but I figure former President Bush had a bio-hazard team go in first and dis-infect it. Probably hit it with so much sterilizing UV light that the seal on the floor started to fade. ;-) I’d have gone in with a deck sprayer full of bleach solution...
“gets a new desk” - That desk is a national historic treasure which belongs to the American people. Yet for 0bama it exists merely to put his feet on.
Backstage, the political groupies are not too happy with that bit of reality.
