Ah another early riser. My last week at work after nine years this week. I will read the whole thread at work since I literally have nothing assigned to me and have completed my last task of moving the office.

I have a geology degree, IT certs and operations managemnet experience. Would make a great office manager in an engineering type firm.

Also a good cook which I really love and may become my new career.

Ok, I have IT job searches, restaurant and I think chef, too on this thread.
Scroll backwards and check the previous pages when you get a chance.

If you’re an IT and you want your own business; you may think about purchasing a restaurant, a coffee shop or something like that and on the side; advertise computer repair. That way your cash flow will most likely be stable.

After having my resume up on Monster.com since early August, I was finally offered, and I accepted, a part-time Bank Teller job at which I started just after New Year's. I only wanted part-time, and I was considered entry-level, because I'd been out of the job market for 30 years, raising our four children. I'm keeping my Monster listing open, because I'm watching for possible work for our two college-aged kids, over Summer break.

One thing I did notice, was that Monster has LOTS of healthcare related jobs posted, and this is just for the Worcester area! So if someone has an Associate's Degree, at the very least, there are positions advertised all the time.
