Did you read the article on the Birth Control movement and Planned Parenthood? It’s an interesting lookback at how we go to where we are today.

Sorry about that. I had to use my backup ping list the other day when I destroyed my main one. I guess my back up was older than I thought.

If I restored anyone else who was removed give me a heads up and I will re-delete you.

It was very interesting. I noted the veiled reference to the opposition of the Catholic Church regarding birth contol:

Condemning “vows of celibacy” and group opposition to “planned parenthood,” Dr. Norton went on to say:

“The arbitrary insistence by a celibate controlled-group upon ‘natural methods’ of birth control....”

Nowadays, they'd have not problems naming the Church, but I see the attitude then is no less vicious.

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to read these, but I sure enjoy them when I can! Could you please refresh my memory on the meaning of the numbers after the headlines (– 2-3)?

Sorry in advance if this is a dumb question.

Each newspaper image is numbered. The images don't show in the preview, but the numbers do.

It's a sort of table of contents. There is a number above each image. The reply that pings the student body lists the main articles and the numbers refer the reader to the right images. I figure since everybody gets these saved they can use them for reference if they want to go back and find an old article.

B-18 — developed from the DC-2 passenger plane; obsolete as a bomber by direct US involvement in WWII; some success during the war after being modified for anti-submarine warfare.

Thanks, never heard of a B-18 before. We learn something new every day! ;-)

I’m guessing that’s the B-18B ASW conversion, based on the nose. I think the bomber version had a glass nose.
