Dads Embarassing Comment Brings Ayla Brown Dates
By Hillary Chabot
January 20, 2010 Scott Browns daughter Ayla [Pic in URL] has been flooded with requests from potential suitors since her father said she was available in his victory speech after his stunning come-from-behind win last night, the Herald has learned.
Lets just say we had a family talk last night, an embarrassed Ayla Brown, 21, told the Herald this morning. I cannot believe he said that on national television.
Brown, who laughed about the remark as she left the Park Plaza Hotel this morning, said her Facebook page has since been pummeled with requests. The former American Idol semi-finalist, donning Boston College sweatpants after an exhilarating evening, said her dad was not joking, when he made the announcement.
I had 1,058 requests this morning - mostly from men, she chuckled. Not really sure if Im going to be responding to any of them.
When asked if he was in hot water with his daughters about the comment, Brown said, only one of them.
Brown said the family savored the exceptional win last night.
Were definitely feeling excitement as a family, Brown said, adding her dads win, really got to me when they said the (Park Plaza) ballroom was at maximum capacity. Its incredible.

Its a distraction from the devastating political loss by Donkeys last night.
the comment struck me as a dad who was used to giving his girls a hard time and hadn’t quite grasped he’s now on the national stage.
Just a silly joke,, nothing more. Good clean fun,,,,
This is news to the Boston Herald. The slime machine cranks up to work 24 hrs a day for the next two years.
hopefully it’s guys she likes unlike that McCain who is dong her best to tell republicans we have to accept sick perverts and their agenda
She is gorgeous and I was surprised that she is single, what on earth are the men doing up there if women like her are single for heavens sake.
Thought the comment was a laugh, his daughters were not insulted and so I see no reason why anyone else should feel insulted
Mostly?..........
Exactly,,, and it’s a Dad’s job to embarrass the daughters sometimes. Ask any female for some embarrassing dad stories,, bring a chair.
It was a good natured tease from a loving father to his daughters. Much ado about nothing.
She seems to have put on some pounds from how she appeared on TV last night but still quite pretty. What song did she sing?
The Boston Herald supported Scott Brown. You are thinking of the Boston Globe..who gave the “official” election results...8 hours before the end of the ACTUAL ELECTIONS.
Just clean fun from Dad. She’s hot and deserves to get the proper dates.
I thought it was so cute..even in his big win, he managed time to tease AND INCLUDED his girls, and even bumped fist with one of them after teasing the other..showing she liked how Dad did a Gotcha on the other ..That is a GREAT DAD!!!
Yup. They're embarrassed but ya know they are loving it. If their dad had simply introduced them, everyone would have thought, for one second, "how nice" then forgotten them. He made them national figures. As I suspect he intended to do.
I thought it was hysterical. My daughters all think it's my hobby to embarrass them - of course, they are right.
I think Brown has been successful precisely for the same reason that Palin has been so successful - he's a genuine guy, devoid of all pretense. Obama isn't. At all.
I think Martha Coakley lost that race when Barack Obama threw the Cambridge cop under the bus. That cop - like Brown - was a real guy, who the working people of Mass can and do relate to. Coakley, like Obama and Skip Gates, appeal to the Massachusetts intellectual intelligentsia, that plays well in Harvard Yard and at Tufts.
My post bows to your post.
I heard Beck talking about this this am, and when he played the tape of Brown saying this I cringed.
You hit it right on the head.
The way we tease one another in my family, well, it’s pretty bad and tacky at times, differenct being, we ain’t on stage when we do it and it is NOTHING BUT A WAY OF EXPRESSING LOVE....
Yes she did...and looks 10x better if you ask me!
