Did the Minnesota Vikings run up the score on the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday's NFC divisional playoff? Keith Brooking(notes) thinks so. A late Brett Favre(notes) touchdown pass infuriated the Dallas linebacker, who charged over to the Vikings' sideline to voice his displeasure. And in his postgame press conference he didn't back down.
The Vikings had held a comfortable 27-3 lead since the early part of the fourth quarter. Dallas looked completely deflated after going down 24 points and the team's subsequent play did nothing to dispel that notion. On the Cowboys' next two possessions the team went four-and-out, gaining a mere 14 yards on eight plays.

What other QBs are out there? The fact is, outside of Peyton, Brees and Favre, there is a significant drop in QB quality. Rodgers might be an exception. I thought maybe Carson Palmer was on the verge, but he regressed. And Brady’s best days are behind him. And Romo pretty much is in the middle of that second-tier level of QBs. Romo can win with the right supporting cast.
I don't see it happening, but maybe other Dallas fans have heard differently. Dallas has more important roster issues than replacing Tony.
Are you talking about the COW-GIRLS???
Speculation on my part stainlessbanner.
Based on the decisions of a business genius (I write with sincerity) of Jerry Jones, do you expect him to keep Romo or Wade for that matter?
Waiting to hear the press conference this spring on who stays and who gets the pink slip.
Of course, although I did not want to be too inflammatory by calling Americas sewage the cowgirls.
LOL
Rivers numbers were good, Sanchez, a rookie is playing for the AFC title. Young started to find his own. Cutler, etc.
The big bust is Jamarcus Russell. He better learn to play or he will be looking for a new carrier.
I don’t expect Favre to play next year especially if he wins the SB. Course he has to get past my Saints.
Will be an interesting QB draft this year.
Romo and Wade broke the December curse and got the Boys to the playoffs after 15 years, beat the undefeated Saints at home, smoked Philly 3 times. That's huge for Dallas fans. Something to build on for next year.
We'll see though....Jerry and the NFL are always full of surprises. Enjoy the rest of playoffs VicVega
Now, there’s a classy comment /sarc. I’m sure that BF is loosing sleep over your biased opinion.
This is coming from a guy who plays for a team that “ran up” a score 52-17 during Superbowl XXVII against Buffalo.
I know Roy is an issue, but I didn’t realize Barber was a problem. I thought he was a machine for the Cowboys. I’m wrong.
Hands down, they beat my Saints. I took a lot of crap for that. Now I get to give it back to some friends.
Yes, the NFL is full of surprises.
Some of the Benson family has been talking about moving the Team to San Antonio. Just never know.
Your Ain’t will have to PLAY the game. There’s no freebies in the NFC Championship game this year.

No problem, as you can see, my boys are healthy and bringing the wood.
BTW, the Vi-Queens haven’t won a road game since Nov. 1st, no?
I’ll have to check that, as it was relayed to me by a hung-over cajun.....
Your Ain’ts haven’t really played anyone for most of the season. Certainly not a team with a defense as good as what the Vikings have. It’s going to be an interesting game, regardless of who wins. I’m a 49er/Patriots fan, and the only reason I’m rooting for the Vikings is that my wife’s a Vikings fan. Either way, it’s my believe that the NFC Championship will be the real SB this year.
Well, it will be the SuperBowl for me, cus’ if they win it erases the stigma of never having made it to the Super Bowl and HOPEFULLY the media will STFU about Katrina (although I’m sure EVERY story about the Saints if they make it will begin with “A city, destroyed by Katrina....)....
After Katrina, I thought a Saints move to San Antonio was likely, and unlike the Utah Jazz, the San Antonio Saints would have fit the team emblem with the city fairly well. Now, I would be surprised to see it happen. The city rallied around the Saints and the Saints rallied the city.
On Jones firing Wade or trading Romo, I don't expect it. Jones has become more cautious about blowing up the team every three years. After Johnson left and Jones signed Deion and hired Switzer, he thought he could buy a Super Bowl as Steinbrenner consistently bought pennants with the Yankees. The salary cap and revenue sharing in football make that almost impossible now, and after running through three coaches in ten years Jones has become more patient and cautious. On the fan boards for the Cowboys, there are always calls to fire Philips and trade Romo. Last summer, quite a few were calling to trade Romo for Cutler straight up.
To his critics, by definition it isn't a big game unless Romo loses it, but the Saints game and both Eagles games were big games and Romo played well. Romo isn't, and I doubt will ever be a Brady or Montana, but he's a solid QB. Favre, Brady, McNabb, Peyton Manning, Kurt Warner and every other quarterback of note has had a terrible playoff game when their O-line breaks down. It was a team loss, and a lot of players and coaches could have done better.
On Jamarcus Russell, I think he's slowed by a big wallet and lack of motivation. Like Vick when he was with the Falcons, he thinks that his athleticism means he doesn't have to do the homework.
Brooking really had no right to bitch. If he wanted them to not run the score up on them then MAKE A STOP! The Cowboys looked pathetic the entire game. It almost makes one wonder how they even got to that game in the first place since they were completely outclassed in every aspect of the game.

On this one, if you are a conservative, and you favor smaller government, you should not be supporting the NFL, any more than you should be supporting any other bailouts or TARPS or stimulus bills.
