Did the Minnesota Vikings run up the score on the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday's NFC divisional playoff? Keith Brooking(notes) thinks so. A late Brett Favre(notes) touchdown pass infuriated the Dallas linebacker, who charged over to the Vikings' sideline to voice his displeasure. And in his postgame press conference he didn't back down.
The Vikings had held a comfortable 27-3 lead since the early part of the fourth quarter. Dallas looked completely deflated after going down 24 points and the team's subsequent play did nothing to dispel that notion. On the Cowboys' next two possessions the team went four-and-out, gaining a mere 14 yards on eight plays.

We are coming for you Aints!
This was enough to make me rethink giving up Football after the playoffs.
Kicking a FG to take the easy points would have been running up the score. They gave the Cowboys a chance to keep them from scoring and they didn’t get it done.
A team should be trying to score on every play, regardless of the score. If the lead is insurmountable, put in your backups to gain game experience.
I hate that “take a knee” crap.
Cowboys or Cowgirls?
I’m not sure what running up the score means, unless it means the cowboys were handed their arse on a platter. hehe It was a great game!
IMO, the touchdown pass was retaliation for trying to hurt Peterson.
again...IMHO
If I don’t like the score to be run up, I try to stop the defense. This is the pros. This isn’t the Big 10, the best conference in college football (The SEC can talk to me when they play games in cold weather) vs Division 2.
The linebacker could have prevented the Vikings from running up the score by playing some defense. But, what should we expect from the “it’s not my fault” mentality.
This is a far cry from the Vikings faking the kneeldown on the last play of the game and, instead, throwing the bomb, hoping to pad the final score.
I am hoping that Jerry Jones is upset about his team's embarrassing performance, too.
As a Green Bay Packers fan, though, I had rather hoped the dome would collapse during the game and take out both teams.
I heard it said best.
You don’t want your butt kicked, play better.
The Dallas Crybaby Boys apparently believed their own hype!!
It’s amazing how quickly Brooking went from pre-game tough guy to late game whining crybaby.

I really shouldn’t have laughed out loud at this but I did anyway :).
Actually, I like the Vikings, nice helmets and uniforms and that “cheerleader” Ragnar the Viking cracks me up.
But I loathe Dallas - I’m a 3rd generation lifelong Giants fan.

They gave them the ball practically in the red zone. The funny thing is, I bet there is a correlation between people who think the Vikes were “running up the score like mean people” and being politically to the left. Equalization, spreading the wealth and so on...
I like that pic. If I was a coach and some hot-head came down the sideline yelling, I’d want Jared Allen right next to me.
