Files second patent infringement suit; seeks to block most Apple hardware from entering U.S. Computerworld - Nokia Corp. last week asked a federal court to block Apple Inc. from importing virtually any current Apple hardware into the U.S., including products in the iPhone, iPod and Mac lines.
The lawsuit -- the second Nokia has filed against Apple in a patent war that broke out in October -- is nearly identical to the complaint the Finnish phone manufacturer filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) on Dec. 29. In the ITC complaint, Nokia also demanded that Apple be barred from bringing "all of Apple's electronic devices that infringe one or more claims of the Asserted Patents" into the U.S.
Nokia used similar language in its second lawsuit, filed Dec. 29 with a Delaware federal court. "Nokia prays for judgment and relief against Apple ... for a permanent injunction enjoining Apple, its officers, agents, servants, employees and all other persons in concert or participation with it from further infringement, contributory infringement, and inducement of infringement of the Asserted Patents," Nokia's lawsuit read.
Elsewhere in the filing, Nokia spelled out the seven patents it alleges Apple has infringed upon. For each, it claimed that only an injunction would stop Apple from further abuse. "Apple's acts have caused, and unless restrained and enjoined, will continue to cause, irreparable injury and damage to Nokia for which there is no adequate remedy at law," Nokia argued. "Unless enjoined by this court, Apple will continue to infringe the ... patent."

On the other hand, it would be amusing to see a U.S. company barred from importing it’s own products into the U.S.
Sounds like Apple needs some cheese
If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.
Good luck with that one Nokia.

They wouldn’t have to import them into the US if they MADE them in the US.
This is just to rich, good luck with this Nokia. LOL
That’s where the amusing part comes in.
:-)
I’ve gotten along just fine without Apple computers, Ipods, Inannies, Ibrainwashing or any other Icrap. There already too many wireheads around.
Not too long ago there was an engineer who lost one of the prototypes for the new iphone. He sure wasn’t in the US.
If he is dealing with prototypes it would seem to indicate that not only aren’t they manufactured in the US. They aren’t even fully designed in the US.
Is Apple even an American company?
IIRC, that Chinese engineer went to the roof and “jumped” off.
Not long after, the missing phone (one of ten prototypes) was found a short time later.
They wouldnt have to import them into the US if they MADE them in the US.
I didn't know that there were any major American companies that did that -- aside from Ma & Pa operations selling trinkets at the local bazaar... LOL...

Ummmm..., good question... let's ask... does anyone know if Cupertino is in the United States?
Just hold on a bit, while we wait for the answer... LOL...
Then, next, we could send some people over to Cupertino and see if it's just an empty office building... you know... a false-front operation or something like that... :-)
Ive gotten along just fine without Apple computers, Ipods, Inannies, Ibrainwashing or any other Icrap.
But, then again, there's all that "iMoney" circulating in the U.S. economy from all the business/employment/products being engaged in/circulated from being such a successful business in this country... :-)
you again? BZZZTTTTT
Just because a company maintains an office in the US does not mean its truly an American company.
Sounds like the majority of the actual work is done outside the US.
IIRC, that Chinese engineer went to the roof and jumped off.
Yeah..., he preferred doing that -- to explaining what happened to Steve Jobs... LOL...
While manufacturing is down there are still many companies who manufacture in the US.
They tend to be companies who value America though.
Please. Someone stop Apple before we all end up looking like those futuristic humans with atrophied legs and big craniums.
