HOW COLD IS IT???
4-state area (OK, KS, MO, AR)
27 °F and that is the expected high for the day.
21 °F expected high for tomorrow.
Last night, we had the 3rd light covering of snow since Christmas eve.
St. Louis reporting in at 9 this morning. Just a bit nippy I’d say. We’re supposed to be up in the mid 20’s late next week!!
But are all these FReepers standing in it for hours while FReeping?
This past Saturday in Olney,MD, we had our morning Support the Troops Rally in 25 weather, with wind chill around 10, with snot running down everyones’ nose.
At Walter Reed on Friday with the temps just above freezing, the wind chill was about 20.
The cold actually puts out my cigars if I stop puffing.

I tried to take a walk yesterday. I am extremely hard-headed, but that brutal wind defeated me. :(
“It’s cold out there - colder than a ticket taker’s smile at the Ivar Theatre on a Saturday night” - Tom Waits (Emotional Weather Report)
It is soooooo cold that even the NEW YORK TIMES has begun to call Global Warming...Climate Change. I guess it makes them feel a little less stupid.
It’s so cold that this morning I saw a dog frozen to a fire hydrant.
14 degrees in my part of Western New York. If you all want to see some global warming tune into the Colts vs Bills game today.
Due to frigid temperatures and high winds, Aqueduct Racetrack will not have live racing on Sunday, January 3. The facility will be open for simulcasting, and NYRA Rewards telebet and internet wagering will both be available as well.(It's gonna be BRUTAL tonight at the JET game, unless the winds die down here.)

It’s so cold......
I saw a democrat with his hands in his own pockets......
Supposed to be 72 here in Phoenix tomorrow. Gets cool at night though — around 44. Gotta wear long pants in the AM.
We had the heater off overnight and it was very cold this morning. 70 is better than an 80 degree New Years.
ROLL TIDE!
Right! I don’t mind not being cold, but an 80+ degree Christmas and New Years would just be wrong!
A balmy 7 above near Wasilla, Alaska, usually its the middle of january when it gets down to -40.
Funny, this weather is the reason I WAS (emphasis on WAS) one of those Marines training just down the road at Quantico. I would do another summer in Iraq before another winter in Quantico. Laying in ambush for hours in snow and ice is not my idea of fun.
>Was 8F first thing this morning in VA.<
We were having a heat wave a bit to the east of you at 12F this fine sunny day.
15 above and balmy in Wasilla in the banana belt of Alaska. Supposed to get into high 20’s in next few days.
Nor mine. I didn’t have a lot of serious cold to deal with when I was in- just some heat. Which I prefer.
