One of my all-time favorite lead guitar solos was from Zappa’s song ‘Willy the Pimp’ from the Hot Rats album.

Saw Zappa at the Chicago Auditorium Theatre way back in ‘88. Guest appearance by a guy named “Mr. Sting”, they did a rendition of “Murder by Numbers” which later turned up on “Broadway the Hard Way.”
Finest musicianship I’d witnessed since Buddy Rich.

showing all the rest of them how it will be done someday in the next world. Well, that's a pretty concrete statement about a pretty subjective thing. But it's all good. Anyway, the last thing I need is another guitar hero (which also a subjective statement about a subjective thing).
You might dig this, though it's more about Stevie Vai.

I saw Frank at the old Agora in Columbus in 1984. It was the Them Or Us tour, and was the same band as on the "Humor in Music" DVD.
We had 2nd row center in the balcony - excellent acoustics!
