Yet there indeed are children out there who don't have proper role models, even their parents.

Absolutely true.

If Palin can fill this void for even a small percentage of them then it is worth it, in spades.

I would agree with that too, provisionally, but what does that
have to do with my objection to idol worship and the lionization
of Mrs. Palin's daughter? Am I missing something?

Regardless, I'd also agree Mrs. Palin would be an outstanding
role model but certainly NOT a quasi-deified solution to all of life's problems.

It just seems to get a bit deep sometimes.

To 41 - We're on the same page more oft than not.

And speaking of role models, you were lucky in having Eaker. Though the buzz is that Eaker can shoot better than you even if blindfolded with Rosie O'Donnell standing in between him and the target.

Yeah, I saw that. You really must stop believing what you see at Wikipedia.

And speaking of role models, you were lucky in having Eaker.

He overcooks the steaks.

Awwww! :o) Thank you! I love her. She is a personification of her mother at the same age, if I don’t miss my guess. I’ll bet her grandparents shake their heads, chuckle behind their hands, and nod knowingly. “Yep! Just like Sarah was at that age!”

Better keep an eye on that one. That precocious child is gonna be something some day. She’s adorable.

What do you think of Mt Rushmore or the monuments in DC? If you had your druthers would you have these removed or just ban any others from being erected in the future?
I'd have to ponder over that but I'm sure I'd support a retroactive ban on roads, bldgs, etc being named after pols or any other person.

You throw exploding lemons at girls and you bitch about a steak being a tad well done?!

Those monuments were erected after the fact, based on accomplishment.
Not POTENTIAL accomplishment. Think of Obama's Nobel prize.

I'd have to ponder over that but I'm sure I'd support a retroactive ban on roads, bldgs, etc being named after pols or any other person.

Based on real accomplishments or potential ones?

You throw exploding lemons at girls and you bitch about a steak being a tad well done?!

Allegra is a pretty tough girl. She likes the exploding lemons.
I didn't bring up the overdone steaks until you set up Eaker
as a role model, I was merely pointing out one of his faults.

To his credit, however, EVERYONE but me overcooks the steaks.

I’m glad I’m looking at your post after hours at work - otherwise I’d get some interesting looks peering around the corner of my cubicle ;) LMAO!

There's a world of difference between a "self-anointed savior (Obama), and a natural leader (Sarah).

Obama promises hope and chains with his I, I, I, me, me, me, ad nauseum.

Sarah encourages everyone who cares about the direction of this country to get involved with the electoral process at the local, state, and national levels, and encourages "ordinary" citizens to run for public office.

Big difference. Of course, RINOs and Democrats share the extremely debunked opinion that we should concede our freedoms and wealth to the whims of Ivy League retards.

I like 'Bluegrass Pkwy' I despise 'Robert Byrd or Ronald Reagan Expressway'.

I prefer rock mountains to remain just that.

Tough or not no lady deserves to be assaulted with exploding fruit. What if a seed was propelled into her eye??

You might be in denial in regard to Eaker's uplifting influence on you. Even I can see, by the interchanges here, how he tries to keep you on the straight and narrow.

Psychobabble. River in Egypt.

Even I can see, by the interchanges here, how he tries to keep you on the straight and narrow.

A thankless, pointless and impossible task.
Gotta admire the moxy in his trying, though.

When one visits The Keep on certain holidays, one accepts a certain degree of risk.

"The Keep"

I like that. A 'Josie Wales' motif.

I do like the way you cook steaks, humblegunner. I practically have to chase it to keep it from fleeing off the plate. Mmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Among others.

Actually, Eaker helped me evaluate the place prior to purchase.

Aw, I've been assaulted with worse and much less-friendlier exploding things than fruit. They've all just missed. (As have the lemons.)

I wear the proper gear to The Keep when I visit on certain holidays. I have been well-trained. ;-)

Two Qs -

Do you see Palin as a uniter, ala Reagan?

What's that odd looking tag line of yours? (Using a Blackberry I can't make it out clearly)
