Somebody named ‘A Beautiful Mind’ upthread, I agree.

I like movies based on Broadway musicals, so here’s a vote for ‘Chicago’.

LOTR, obviously (from the Hobbit Hole).

‘Gladiator’.

No country for Old men......what was that movie about anyway? I thought it was poorly edited, the story did not follow logical steps, and the last half hour was stupid beyond belief. I actually liked it for over an hour, then they got cute and lost me. The mark of a good movie is, whould you watch it again. I would never want to watch it over, and tell everyone I know to avoid it.

How did you get to see Up in the Air last week? I thought it hadn't been released yet.

Heard all sorts of great things about it.

IMHO, that’s a pretty violent movie for a 12yr old.

Agreed, likewise for There Will Be Blood.

Made up Hollywood nonsense.

My favorite American feature films...

Terry Zwigoff's 'Ghost World'
Spike Lee's '25th Hour'
David Fincher's 'Zodiac'.
