Demand for an EPA offset for CO2
We the petitioners demand the EPA provide farmers, ranchers and dairymen with an Oxygen generaton offset against any CO2 fee or tax because oxygen is NOT a greenhouse gas.
Example: A Christmas tree plantation uses fuel to plant and harvest however no credit is issued for their crop reducing the CO2 in the air with their trees nor is any credit given for the oxygen generated by the trees for the years between planting and harvest.
Any green crop removes CO2 and generates oxygen.
Having just purchased a heavily wooded property, I want the EPA to send me a hefty check for taking that devilish CO2 out of the air and replacing it with oxygen.
If Mark Penn can get $6 million in porkulus money to pay three employees, the US government must have tons of extra tax dollars to give me for saving the planet.
Damn, guys, you WOULD have to bring that to their attention. That rat-like scurrying sound you are hearing is the EPA bureaucRATS hustling to add OXYGEN to the list of greenhouse gases.
We're freaking DOOMED!!
If CO2 is a polutant and O2 is life... I agree. Your land reduces CO2 and generates Oxygen for us all.
Can’t wait to see what my 17 acres of hay will bring in the form of a government check...heck we let the horses graze it in the winter so we don’t even have to fertilize it. Only carbon footprint is the cutting and baling, and that doesn’t even use 30 gallons of fuel.
Thick as carpet, sucking the CO2 out of the atmosphere and putting back clean, fresh O2.
Yep, gonna get the wife one of them new clothes dryers with the first check. Maybe one with four lines so she can hang out lots of wash at one time (kinda like that multi-tasking we keep hearing about).
Maybe first on their list of targets should be all congressional hearings. And then all congress members.
