It is not a castro hat... it is a retro 60’s number that is selling in the malls around here. All she needs is a white mini skirt and some GoGo boots.

I like the hat and tried to find what kind it was yesterday. I want one. Not in green but that color goes with her complexion. I thought she looked great.

Btw, when I was looking for the hat yesterday I noticed in google a post from DU about Sarah wearing a Castro hat.

I don't think it's a Castro hat but there is some resemblance because of its yukky green color and similar but not exact shape. It's not among her best choices for attire, IMO. Perhaps there's a story behind it like someone gave it to her or something. Who knows?

That being said, Sarah Palin is beautiful no matter what she wears because she shines from the inside out. Plus, her politics are simply gorgeous! ;-)

Castro's hat has a band over the bill. The one on hatsdotcom has a band over the bill. Palin's does not have a band and it has three buttons. Her bill runs all the way around to over her ears. The other do not.

It's just a hat. I have pictures of my mother wearing a hat like that 70 years ago.

I own a hat just like the one Palin is wearing and in all honesty, if it was a “Castro” hat, my Cuban-exile father would disown me and then sue me to recoup the money he spent raising me. :)
